I've been trying to hack some roms and such, but haven't been able to do much with them at all. I've been trying to edit the Metroid sprites, but to no avail. I've been trying to import my own sprites, but it only brings in HALF the image. Seriously, what the heck?

The programs I tried using were tile layer pro, and tile molester. Both operate and do the same thing. And the fact that none of the sprites are their original colors makes it all the more difficult to do.

Are there any programs that imports the ENITRE image, and not just half? Which is just the left side of the image to make things clear. I have each sprite properly colored, and made in just one image, the entire sprite, and it's only the size of the sprite, no more, no less.

So I really need help with this, is there something I'm missing? Is there a program that edits the sprites a whole lot easier?

Well I'm not sure myself what might help, but there should (I say should, but no promises) be a guide or two at http://www.romhacking.net/docs/ that might help.
I mean no one has posted any other ideas so I figured I would post something that could work.
