hey guys its me 95jake1 and yea i have had alot of important stuff to say but the more important it is the hardest it is to say it. like this one girl i liked well loved i couldn't tell her how i feel i didn't know why i couldn't its like a force stoping you telling you no. i guess its instinct im not sure. it gets worse if the person is more important its like the more you care about the person the harder it is. so usually im at a loss of words when it comes to things like this any solution to this problem.

I think that you should have told her. I know, that sometimes, although you were thinking for hours what you'll say, the words don't come out that way, when you're in front of that person.
But you don't have to give it up so easily. My suggestion is to close your eyes whlie you're in front of her and open your heart. This trick works sometimes.

In the case of a someone you may have feelings for I think it is a fear of the unknown answer that causes you to lock up. In those situations I think its best to let the person know and get over your own fears. Now if its a friend and say you know his girl his cheating on him, I kinda learned the hard way not to say anything. Then you get caught up in all this drama that u really didn't have anything to do with. Then I think instinct as you say might be correct, cause I didn't wanna tell him but I thought it would be best to. Now I wish I haddn't, and won't the next time I see some stupid schtuff goin down like that.

Well, I don't have problems saying what I have to say in front of everyone. If they have to know, I'll say it. Although when I was younger I was terrible at trying to tell people important things when the time came.

Nah, I learned that along time ago. If you got something to say to someone then just say it.

I hate when this happens. Actually, it's only really happened to me once, but it really sucked. I really, really liked this girl, and we had been friends for two years. We had a class together (this is in high school) and we both did track year-round and she was pretty much the nicest person you'd ever meet. I've never heard her say anything even remotely negative, and I really don't think she could be mean if she tried.

I had decided that I was going to ask her out towards the end of sophomore year (about a year after we became friends), but every time I tried to do it, I would just totally wuss out. Even now, just thinking about it, my pulse is picking up and I'm sweating. It took me until almost the end of junior year (May 16th, 2008. Yes, I still remember the date) to finally manage to ask her.

Literally, in order to get myself to do it, I had to tell myself I wouldn't eat anything until after. Even then, it took me almost two days. There have only been three times in my life when I have been nervous, all of them when asking out a girl. It's not fear of rejection, that doesn't bother me, it's just that I've always had trouble expressing feelings (in a non-cliched way). She did say no, that she liked me as a friend, but I wasn't even sad. At that point I was just glad I had managed to go through with it. And, to be honest, I still really like her.

Anyway, sorry for the backstory, it just sort of supported my answer of 'yes, it has happened to me'.

Lucky me I never had to ask my girlfriend out. It just sort of happened lol. We could have been going out sooner if I had the guts to ask though .

It's annoying when you have something just at the tip of your tongue but you just can't seem to spit it out.

she is really nice so i had to hit myself to say yeah it was wierd

95jake1 : Well, I think everyone has a situation with a family member/friend or, romantic interest that they may want to discuss something with that person but for one reason or another tend to avoid it. I have been in that situation a couple of times in regard to girlfriends.

It isn’t a fun experience to go through when in my case the only reason I avoided those conversations was so I wouldn’t hurt my girlfriend’s at the time. It is difficult when you really want to say something that perhaps someone close to you doesn’t want to hear. It is especially difficult when you don’t want to say anything though you really know you should for fear of affecting any relationship you might have in a negative way.

Despite how difficult it may be, it is always best to just come right out and say what you have on your mind otherwise you might end up regretting it and that is something no one should have to deal with. I do have some regrets in regard to some past relationships that I wish had gone differently so I speak from experience.

My advice is to calmly tell her how you feel and what’s on your mind. If nothing else you won’t always end up wondering what might have happened or, why you didn’t say anything.
