For those who remember my rant about my apartment being broken into early last month, found here, I had some really high-dollar stuff stolen. Recently I got them replace. A few weeks ago I bought a brand new 40" LED TV. Not LCD, but "LED", a new type of TV made within the last year and a half. In keeping with the brand, it is Samsung, one of the better device makers now days. I gotta tell ya, this thing is pretty awesome. The colors are way more vibrant than your average LCD/Plasma "tube". Very nice. The more notable and amazing part about it is that the TV is incredibly thin. About an inch wide. Very cool. Here are pics of it. Note that my thumb and the Dante's Inferno game case, shown as a size comparison, are pressed up against the side of the TV firmly, not hovering away. The TV is about as wide as a PS3 game case.








If you go to a store like Best Buy and look at one of these on display you'll see what I'm talking about. What you see is what I've been playing games and watching movies on. I got it for a mere $1250. But I think it's worth it.

Yesterday I went to Best Buy and got a laptop. I did some shopping around and even went online looking for a stylish laptop. Again, I went with what I had before, an HP. I've yet to explore everything this laptop has to offer, but I can tell you using Windows 7 is a bit different than Vista. Anyway, my laptop has a 17" screen. Best part about it- Blu-Ray player. $765. ish...

Dude, that's so awesome. You're really well equipped to deal with any kind of gaming needs you might have now I'm so jealous, I still live with my parents, and never even get to pick what channel I want to watch You're set, hope that you get to keep these till you're done with them.

Nice equipment, glad to see that your starting to get your things back. I recently went through a similiar situation like yours so I know what it feels like. The TV looks pretty kickass as well. I also like the designs on the laptop, very nice!!!

That is so cool that you got a new tv, but a bit bad that you needed to buy it again. I have an LED tv too, it does look better when I play my Xbox. Cool laptop, it seems like a big one.
