What did you think about "Up"?

I watched it for a second time a few days ago

megarevolution : I thought The Dark Knight was excellent. It was great to see Cillian Murphy back as the Scarecrow and Michael Jai White as Gambol. However I thought the whole Chinatown plot was a bit TOO long. But Heath Ledger was the best portrayal for Joker next to Mark Hamill. Happy Gilmore is a meh Adam Sandler comedy but considering how his other films were pure crap, then this one was a hilarious comedy.

Bobbynibbles : The Crying Game was a really good British thriller, the whole scene of Dil holding Fergus at gunpoint was an excellent scene.

iop50 : Am I the only one that thought Despicable Me was garbage? Maybe it's because I was anticipating Predators more however those goshdarn "minions" were unfunny, the fart jokes were just abysmal, and the fact of an evil guy, wrestler, policeman, spy, etc. having to take care of a family is tiresome. Also I really liked the Sorcerers Apprentice maybe it's the fact that I'm a big Nicholas Cage fanboy or that I sat through Fantasia a couple of times but I thought it was a great fantasy comedy. But I thought the special effects were meh.

septembern : I thought Up was an excellent CGI flick from Pixar, but personally? I thought Fantastic Mr Fox was a way better animated movie than Up but still I thought Ed Asner and Christopher Plummer had excellent roles and same with Spot.

Have you seen Inception yet? I'd like to hear your opinion of it, since I haven't watched it yet and I want to see it.

I think all for but the Heath ledger part is batman begins. I don't remember scarecrow in it. Unless your talking about the one with Harvey Dent AKA Two-Face in it.

2. (1. was a backup plan but) I am surprise no one said this but, what do you think about the Avatar movie (NOT the last air bender) ?

Didowe : Personally I wasn't a big fan of The Simpsons movie since I was a big fan of the show a lot of things shouldn't have been in there while A LOT more should have. T Plopper was more of a twenty second gag while they should have included characters like Sideshow Bob or Hank Scorpio in it. And the whole plot of the town. vs the simpsons wasn't that good.

Avatar to me was probably the best visual film for my eyes, but had a mediocre plot with the whole Dances With Wolves style plot. Maybe it's because I started to dislike James Cameron during Titanic due to his whole ego these days with re-releasing Titanic and Avatar for bonus footage.

septembern : I gave up on Harry Potter during 3 since I was a big fan of 1 and 2.

mdynasty926 : Inception was probably one of Nolan's best. The whole dream inside a dream inside a dream inside another was excellent and the whole concept of time slowing down in each dream was awesome as well. Personally I'd be very surprised if it's not nominated for Best Picture.

Ok, what about Japan Cinema? Have you seen Zebraman or The Great Yokai War? What about Seven Samurai or Casshern?

I'm a huge fan of those movies, especially Zebraman.
