Vote your favorite pokemon type?

And, since they're not in the poll yet (you should probably add 'em), I won't vote... since my favorite is (apparently, by the way I structure my teams) ghost. It's pretty useful, several good moves for attacking, status, or defensive strategies... moves like Destiny Bond can even the tide of battle, while Shadow Ball can deal lots of damage in the right hands. Throw in immunity to two types, and you've got a good fighting force.

Although Morty and Fantina can be a pain if you're not prepared... but that just makes them so much better!

I just love Electric types. They only have one weakness, which is ground, and have good speed. I have always used an electric type on my team on every game.

I like the fire type. There's no real reason, I just think most of the fire Pokemon are cool.

my favorite pokemon type is electric because in my opinion they seem to be the most powerful pokemon to use. Their moves render the most damage to an opponent.

My favorite Pokemon type are dragons. They have powerful moves, and they are well balanced, for some of them. They can make a real, good, fighting team to beat people. Most dragon typed Pokemons are cool and awesome.

Aw I love fire pokemon. Arcanine and Flareon were the best and the cutest. Cindiquil isn't bad either. However can't stand up for torchick. Its useless =(

I adore grass types! They have the best healing moves: Synthesis,Leech Seed, and Ingrain. They also have awesome sp.atk! Speed is probably what they lack but overall. I will always choose grass type as my starter.

Yeah, I like the Dragon type the best. I like dragons in general, and in any pokemon game, the dragon types kick-ass.

Steel type is the best. More resistances than any other type and steel types are very tough. A poor offensive type, however.

I love normal types, Zangoose, Clefable, Kangaskhan, Miltank, And Smeargle are all great.

While some of those can be useful... Smeargle is really only good for breeding. But I get what you're saying: Normal types can learn very diverse attacks (usually) and are therefore good battlers, when their stats stack up right. I actually have a very good Persian that I'm training on-and-off at the moment (current focus is Umbreon for competitive battling if I ever get to).

Im between electric and Psychic but when it comes down to it, Electric has always been my favorite!

Dragon types are just so fun to train. Especially Dragonite, which can learn so many different powerful moves like Thunder, Fire Blast, Blizzard, and Hyper Beam to name a few.
Plus they have little weaknesses, like Ice can be a little hard to find.

my favorite pokemon type is water. i just like the water type in general for anything but i like how most of the water type pokemon look except totodile i like how there move set is and how they can be really kick ass even if they are weak to electric and grass

my favorite would be bug and flying mainly because of butterfree it has some of the best moves.

Mine has to be Fighting, just because I always make a non-senseical team that is comprised of three of my favorites - Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee and Machoke.

My favorite is Electric. I like how they are only weak to ground types.

I'm a fan of grass type pokemon because my first pokemon I got for the old pokemon gameboy games was bulbasaur. Dragon pokemon are pretty cool but I always liked grass better.

Dragon pokemon rock, half of my team is dragon: Dragonite, Rayquaza and gyrados

That is a hard question to answer.
I like most of the types of pokemon.
My favorite is probably Ghost or Psychic but I do like probably every type.
My vote went for psychic just because no one else voted for it yet.

Electric wins because it only has one weakness.
Dragon is awesome, but Ice ALWAYS [insert curse word here] me over.
Steel is good, but it, to me, isn't very reliable.
Most electric types are fast and have good special attack.
Plus, I have an actual reason to pick electric.
Most of my friends pick fire or dragon because their favorite pokemon is that type.

Electric-type are awesome because they are better than flying and water-type.

I thought about picking Electric, but I love the first two fire starters and Growlithe. I always train Growlithe if I can't get Charmander or Cyndaquil.

I'm going with the steel type here. You can always find room for a good steel type on your team; they're usually quite powerful, and have a lot of resistances.

I like Dragon-type the most. High attack stats, and they only have two weaknesses, which aren't very common. A team of Salamence, Dragonite, Garchomp, Kingdra, Flygon, and Latios would kill. Straight from Bulbapedia:
"The Dragon type is statistically the best of all types overall. Many of them do not evolve from their first stage to their second until a level at which many Pokémon are near their final evolutions, and their final evolution near level 50; Sazandora evolves at level 64, the highest of any Pokémon."
Two members of the Elite 4 use Dragon, and the final Johto Gym Leader does, too.

Dark does not = evil.

My favorite type is Ghost because they rely on sneaky moves like Hypnosis and Confuse Ray.

For me, it is, Electric/Fire. I can't really decide on one of them, but Fire is powerful and out there, and Electric is just cool in more ways than I can explain

My favorite is specified. Water/Flying! Well, only from Gyarados. Wingull sucks.

Water type all the way. There are so many water Pokemon that it is so versatile. There are also a lot of good Water type Pokemon with all the different type combinations that they have. My second favorite would be ground. That is just because ground is pretty beast.

My favorite would have to be water type, because
a. they are usually blue
b. fish are awesome
and c. their moves are also awesome

I prefer Dragons and Darks. They just seem appealing to me. Yay, Hydreigon!

They also sometimes have good statistical averages. 

The pokemon where my top favorites reside are: Dragon, Fire, Water, Dark, Steel, Rock/Ground, Flying, Psychic

I LOVE Psychic types. Mostly because my favorite Pokemon (Mew) is a psychic type. >.>

Now I got interested in Psychic types and Dragon types.

My favorite would be Flying, not because I use it a lot, but because I've always liked the thought of soaring. :3

Fire is the best, when it comes down to it you just cant beat a well trained Charizard

My favorite Pokemon types are Psychics and Grass!!

My favorites are Psychic, Dark, and Fire types. But out of those three, I would choose Psychic because they're fast and somewhat powerful.

My favorite type is Ice because I love the design of their moves in the anime and games also I love Pokémon like Froslass and Jynx

Grass-types will always be my favorite. I have never picked a non grass-type Pokémon ever in the games. I have felt they were always the best, especially when starting out on the games. They always seemed to be the fastest Pokémon, and they had some of the most effective moves, such as: poison powder, sleep powder, razor leaf, vine whip, solar beam, and so many more. Besides, my favorite Pokémon, Scyther, is a grass type

I love flying types! I love birds and flying types are most commonly birds. I also like how when they get big and they trust you, they let you ride on their backs.

My favorite type is Electric actually, what we could have without electricity? No television, no internet.... meh I got a little off topic.
I love Electric because most of them got good speed/spec.atk, and of course my favorite move, ThunderBolt!

I like fire, water, electric, and physic types best types

I have to say Fire and Fighting because I had to use two starters that are those two types. Blaziken and Emboar.

I'd either go with steel types or dark types depending on my mood. Both because they're pretty rare and have few weaknesses. Not only that, but both types can learn moves to counter their weaknesses as well.

I don't have one... I usually try to have one of about everything, fully evolved on me. And I make sure I have all the abilities, like Surf, Fly, Cut, and Climb. But that is just me, so yeah... I don't have a favorite, but I voted for flying, because Fly comes is handy SO MUCH!!!

Mine would have to be dragon mostly because they have few weaknesses and high attack and defense. Also how do you get the backgrounds for your posts?

My favorite pokemon type is fire for sure! I've never liked dragons....I'm not sure why everyone does. I also like water, psychic, and fighting, but fire is just my favorite.

dragon. most dragon types are good defense and attack and good speed and most have all good stats and they look cool. they can learn a bunch of tms and they are in ,ost games rare.

I adore both water and electric types, for the poll I chose water though. I do like water and the idea to breathe underwater, which most water types are able to do, and being a water type would make it so much easier to swim underwater... that way, you don't have to worry about drowning! The Pokémon are cool too, with my current favorites being Totodile and Buizel.
As for electric types, I'm also fond of electricity. The idea of being able to control lightning without getting yourself killed and being able to provide energy in various situations seems like a cool idea. Unless of course, the Pokémon is being treated poorly while that happens, which is the case for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. My current favorites are Pikachu, Luxray, and Pachirisu.

Ice Types are my favourite although they have a lot of weaknesses Ice Type moves themselves are pretty strong! and I love pretty mmuch all Ice type pokemon :3

I say psychic because they are just plain powerful and have good stats.

I picked fighting type due to my real-life passion for fighting. I'm a die hard MMA and martial arts or any combat sports fan.

When I play Pokémon games Psychic Dragon and Fighting have gotta be my favorite 3 types.

Then again when it comes to the traditional water/fire/grass starters I tend to go with the popular vote of fire starter. (or at least I would assume the fire starters as usually most popular , Charizard started it strong for fire starters anyway.) For me the fire starters just have the most 'cool' factor going for them , though I wasn't a huge Cyndaquill fan.

My favorite pokemon type is dragon type and psychic, they both don't have that many weaknesses and they are usually hard to beat because most people don't be prepared to fight dragon types or psychic types.

Dragon is the strongest, but water is good too, just because Mudkip is water.
I don't like fire as much anymore, because the starters are always part fighting now, and they don't make many anymore.

I would say water type because it has very powerful moves like Hydro pump and Hydro Cannon.

Dragon types are one of the strongest, and I prefer fire /dragon types i.e. reshiram

I gotta give my vote to the Dragon type. Not too many of them, rather hard to find, only weak to ice and themselves when not dual typed. Given a way to hack the games to let me do a Dragon monotype run of the games (where possible to find six different dragons), I'd do it.

I like two   types  the fighting type, because I big fan of wrestling, and  I happen to like the ghost type Haunter  because
 Haunter is so funny in the anime

Personally I think that the Dragon and Electric type Pokémon are my favorite simply because the Pokémon the have Like Zapdos and the Electric type also has Pichu Pikachu and Raichu and the dragon type Pokémon are simply cool looking and they are also strong Rayquaza for example he's pretty strong.But I have to give the other types some credit.Actually now that I'm thinking about it I don't really have A favorite I know I know it sound's like something a parent would say but it's true I really don't have a favorite Pokémon type .But for my six Pokémon type I would have A water type A fire type A dragon type A electric type A normal type and a fighting type.

My favorite Pokemon type has just got to be flying! They are useful for getting to areas quickly (fly), they have an awesome speed stat (or at least most of them) and they can take on many formidable opponents if trained correctly.They own the fighting, bug and grass type and they aren't affected by ground type moves. But the downside in particular for me is the weakness against ice, since there is an ice type gym leader/elite four member in every game. So yeah, that is my favorite type.     Favometer: 10!

My second favorite type is definitely the water type. The very first Pokémon I obtained was a Totodile on Silver, about 7 years ago. They are the most reliable, I think; they can learn Ice type moves like Ice Fang and Ice Beam, among many more, so the grass type weakness worries me not. I choose the water type starters every single time. The only one I dislike is Piplup due to it's low attack. I think the only true weakness to water is electric due to the fact that grass types could be struck down before they get a chance to strike.    Favometer: 9!

My third favorite is Psychic. They have a really high Special Attack stat, but a few Psychic types aren't easy to level up in the lower levels, like Abra and Ralts. I have noticed that most Psychic type Pokemon have a pretty low defense stat. My favorite Psychic type Pokemon is Jynx; it has helped me a LOT on Fire Red. It took down Lance's Dragonite and Dragonairs with ease, and it helped much more than Pidgeot did with Gary's Venusaur.    Favometer: 9!

Electric. This was a tough decision, but I love this type, Electivire specifically. This type has balanced stats, as well as typically good SP. ATK and Speed. Electric were a but underpowered in the first Gen, but in newer gens they have risen to "Power" get it? Anyone? No? Ok.
