I'm a fan of grass type pokemon because my first pokemon I got for the old pokemon gameboy games was bulbasaur. Dragon pokemon are pretty cool but I always liked grass better.

That is a hard question to answer.
I like most of the types of pokemon.
My favorite is probably Ghost or Psychic but I do like probably every type.
My vote went for psychic just because no one else voted for it yet.

Electric wins because it only has one weakness.
Dragon is awesome, but Ice ALWAYS [insert curse word here] me over.
Steel is good, but it, to me, isn't very reliable.
Most electric types are fast and have good special attack.
Plus, I have an actual reason to pick electric.
Most of my friends pick fire or dragon because their favorite pokemon is that type.

I thought about picking Electric, but I love the first two fire starters and Growlithe. I always train Growlithe if I can't get Charmander or Cyndaquil.

I'm going with the steel type here. You can always find room for a good steel type on your team; they're usually quite powerful, and have a lot of resistances.

I like Dragon-type the most. High attack stats, and they only have two weaknesses, which aren't very common. A team of Salamence, Dragonite, Garchomp, Kingdra, Flygon, and Latios would kill. Straight from Bulbapedia:
"The Dragon type is statistically the best of all types overall. Many of them do not evolve from their first stage to their second until a level at which many Pokémon are near their final evolutions, and their final evolution near level 50; Sazandora evolves at level 64, the highest of any Pokémon."
Two members of the Elite 4 use Dragon, and the final Johto Gym Leader does, too.

Water type all the way. There are so many water Pokemon that it is so versatile. There are also a lot of good Water type Pokemon with all the different type combinations that they have. My second favorite would be ground. That is just because ground is pretty beast.
