yes it is supposed to be used for battles. However we don't have a battle system on the board right now. One was supposed to have been done but the person working on it left the board.

I know David has some ideas in the works for a battle system eventually so the gear will be useful at some point.

also going to move this to the help section so that other people will see it there and get an answer to this question hopefully.

Like geeorgee said it was originally made by someone else for a battle hack so players could battle one another in a RPG type of gameplay but it has been on pause. I know David has things in store for it and has brought it up in a couple recent threads. Just be patient, save some viz, and buy some gear in the meantime.

Well, I think Bigbob was going to do one.... but he got busy with University... and then Randy talked about working on one, and has done some work towards making one, but he left and is working on his own site now and will most likely use his battle hack there rather than here.

That's an interesting idea in itself. The thing I'm wondering about is if anyone on the site picked up any of the game consoles from the accessories page. Would having one of those truly let you play the games of the system for free? I do have to wonder.
