Mega Man 7 is one of my favorite Mega Man games, so I'm glad I'm getting a chance to do character biographies on the robot masters. A lot of the bosses have unique themes including elements and nature. Slash Man is one of the Mega Man 7 robot masters who made his debut in this game. He has appeared in other games as well.

Background- Slash Man is designed after another Wily Robot. Wily created Slash Man after the Stardroid Pluto. Wily wanted a powerful and fast robot master just like Pluto was/is. Wily created Slash Man likely during the events of Mega Man 6. Wily figured he would get caught so he had a lot of robots sealed to activate. Slash Man was not in the first for robot masters of Mega Man 7 but the second half.

Originally Wily made him to not just be a combat robot. But he was designed to clear forests for Wily's secret bases. One base he cleared was a base in the tropics that had robot dinosaurs in it. Wily used this base for his secret projects. Also because it was hidden in a jungle it was hard to detect.

After the events at the robot museum during Mega Man 7. Slash Man is in the second half were he helps Wily launch an attack. After the attack he goes back to Wily's Jungle Base. Wily gave Slash Man complete control of his base. Slash Man has rigged the base with traps, dinosaur robots, and spikes as he eagerly waited for Mega Man's arrival. It should be noted that Beat can be freed in his stage. Therefore, it is likely he kidnapped Beat to lure Mega Man into a trap.

Slash Man put up a very good fight, but was eventually defeated by Mega Man after a hard tough battle. After Mega Man 7 he is shown to still be working for Wily. He appears in both Mega Man fighting games as a boss working for Wily.

Appearance- is a human type robot master. He has reddish orange hair that is spiked up. He has long claws on his hands. The claws can retract and repair themselves. He has a human like face. He mostly has orange, blue and green armor.

Personality- Slash Man is an effective manager and is very effective at combat. However, is a very quick worker and can be wild at times. His comrades and his robots he has working for him have a hard time keeping up with him. It is revealed he loves eating fruit. The only thing he fears is nail clippers. He also does not like extreme cold or extreme hot temperatures. He appears to like to steal things which he can be a thief sometimes.

Attack- Slash Man has very powerful attacks. He can cause sticky red tar substances to fall on his opponents. The tar does ware off after a while, but it causes the player/opponent to be stunned. This allows Slash Man to ambush the player/opponent. Another powerful attack is he will climb a wall and dash down to try to collide into the player. In addition, his main attack is to get close to the player and use his slash claw. The Slash Claw can do serious damage. It also should be noted he is very fast which makes fighting him difficult. He also does not follow a pattern so his attacks are random.

Weakness- Slash Man is weak to extreme temperatures in Mega Man 7. The Freeze Cracker is effective because it will freeze him and stun him. Also the Freeze Cracker can split and hit him even when he is off screen. Scorch Wheel is another effective weapon as it burns him. However, the player has to get close to use it against him. Thus, the player leaves themselves open to getting slashed.

In the first Mega Man fighting Game he is weak to Freeze Cracker just like he is in Mega Man 7. In the Second Fighter Game he is weak to dive Missile as it can hit him even when he tries to climb walls.

CD Data

A robot created after the Stardroid Pluto. He is in charge of Wily's jungle unit and basses. He can slash through just about anything.

Good Point- Lean and Wild

Bad Point- he can be a thief.

Dislikes- Nail Clippers

Slash Man stage how it has dinosaurs could be a reference to Jurrasic Park. Supposedly some of the people who worked on Mega Man games were fans of the movie. Slash Man likes to be wild and lean. This is a reference to his healthy eating habits.

He does not like nail clippers because they scare him. His reference to being a thief could be a reference to coming like a thief in the night since he is fast. Thus, it is hinted he can take things quickly without anybody knowing it.

Slash Man does not like extreme temperatures. Extreme cold causes him to hibernate. This is seen when hit with the Freeze Cracker as he will freeze like he is laying down to go to sleep. He also cannot stand extreme temperatures as extreme heat burns him. He shares these traits with Pluto who he was designed after as Pluto cannot stand extreme cold or extreme heat. Both Slash Man and Pluto have long claws that can cut through anything.

He is highly valued by Wily given how Wily has used him to guard his basses, and do jobs for him. This is likely why he has appeared in several games. Wily values his speed and power. This concludes the Slash Man Biography.
