Mega Man and Bass introduced us to 6 new robot masters. There is actually 8, but 2 also appeared in Mega Man 8. Like most Mega Man games the bosses are unique. Ground Man was one of the 6 new robot masters introduced in the game. Background- Ground Man was supposedly created by King. However, King turned out to be a puppet for Wily. Therefore, technically, he was created by Dr. Wily. Originally he was created to work underground possibly to do mining for Wily. He was modified into a powerful combat robot, but also kept his mining job. When King launched his attack on the world Ground Man was ordered to go along. He took over a mine base. He loves to dig and steal treasure even if he is not ordered to do so. He rigged his base full of traps especially quick sand anticipating Mega Man's or Bass arrival. Eventually, Mega Man made his way through his mine base. Ground Man eagerly waited for Mega Man or Bass. He believed that he was superior and that Bass and Mega Man would be no match for them. However, that proved not to be the case. In Mega Man's quest he is defeated by Mega Man. While In Bass's quest he is defeated by Bass. With Bass reminding him afterwards that he could not have defeated Bass because he is the strongest. Regardless, whoever defeated him they ended his reign of terror. They also liberated the mine he had taken over and allowed the mine to resume normal operations. It is hinted he was rebuilt afterward so its possible he went back to being a mine worker himself. Appearance- Ground Man is a large Robot Master that has brown/gold armor and he also has blue armor. He has large drills on his shoulders. He has drill horns on his helmet. He has drills all over his body. He also has a drill for a buster cannon that he can fire. He is able to turn into a tank with several drills. Personality- Ground Man is not known to be very social. He loves digging and takes his job seriously. However, he can go rogue at times and not follow orders. He loves to collect treasure that he finds and even hoards it. He also will take treasure if he knows it does not belong to him. Therefore, he is like a thief at times. Attack- Ground Man has several attacks. He loves to turn into a tank and go back and forth while firing drills. The drills he fires work as missiles and can drill into the wall or explode with powerful explosives. His main attack is dig into the walls or ceiling and use a giant drill to attack the player this is his most dangerous attack as it does serious damage. He can also fire drills in multi directions. Weakness- He is weak to the mine weapon. The Mine weapon can penetrate his thick armor. The mine also explodes when it hits him this keeps him from burrowing into the ground, ceiling or walls. After he fires drills there is a little delay in what he does next. The player can use this as a chance to get some shots in. If the player defeats him they will get his speed drill weapon. The player can fire a drill that will explode on contact and can be used to break balls. If the player double taps when firing the speed drill the speed drill will split into 3 drills that can explode. Here is his CD Data A robot created for mining his drill weapons can drill through just about anything. Good Point- focused Bad Point- not sociable Likes- treasure Dislikes- ground water He does not like ground water because when he hits water pipes it turns the ground into mush. The ground water also messes with his operation as he has to wait to the water gets shut off or dries out before he can start digging again. As stated he is very focused when it comes to his job, but he can go rogue and look for treasure. He is not very sociable and does not interact with his peers. Given how he goes rogue Wily or King could have a hard time controlling him. It is hinted that he was rebuilt after the events of Mega Man and Bass. But it is not known if he continued to work for King or Wily. Given how King reformed it is likely he stayed with Wily. Another theory is that he went back to working the mines like he originally was designed to do. This concludes the Ground Man Biography. Background- Ground Man was supposedly created by King.
