Mega Man games are known for their unique robot masters. Plant Man is no exception. Plant Man made his debut in Mega Man 6 and has appeared in other games. He is one of the nature themed robot masters.

Background- Plant Man was built by a Brazilian company to help in agriculture. He did research at a botanical garden. He was so well liked that he not only became the mascot but a manager of the garden. It is said he can communicate with the plants. He was also doing research on how to breed endangered plants. Thus he was a flower fancier. He could also disguise himself as a plant.

He was given two weapons to also help watch over the botanical garden. His Plant Shield allows him to surround himself with flower projectiles that can block some enemy shots. He also was given a buster that can shoot regular buster shots. Eventually, his company decided he could do well in the new Robot tournament. Therefore, he was entered into the robot tournament sponsored and hosted by Mister X.

However, Mister X turned out to be Dr. Wily. Dr. Wily took the 8 new robot masters and modified them to do his bidding in his latest scheme of world domination. Plant Man was modified more, but he did not require a lot of modification.

Plant Man took over an old fort in the Amazon Forest in a forgotten area. His fort is rigged with traps such as spikes, mud traps, pits, and Plant Man has several robots working for him. Mega Man made his way through his fort and confronted Plant Man. Plant Man surprisingly put up a decent fight but was defeated by Mega Man.

Unlike most of the robot masters from Mega Man 6. He has appeared in other games. He appeared in both Mega Man fighting games working for Wily. However, it is revealed he does not work for Wily all the time. It is shown that when he does not work for Wily he manages his botanical garden and tries to help the plants.

Appearance- Plant Man has a human face but is very plant like and can even disguise himself as a plant. He has orange and yellow flower pedals coming out of his head. He is also wrapped in vines. He is multi colored as with most plants. He is blue, yellow, red, orange, purple, and green colored.

Personality- He really cares for the plants and nature in general. He is a very sensible robot master. He can communicate with the plants. He likes spending time in the sun because he is part plant and because he is solar powered. However, he can get mad when he sees somebody trying to harm nature especially plants and trees. He can also get depressed when it comes to the destruction of nature.

Attack- Plant Man has a simple pattern. He will try to jump around and bounce off the walls. He will sometimes fire a regular buster shot. However his main attack is to use his plant barrier shield. In this attack Plant Man surrounds himself with plant like projectiles that can even block some shots. Like Star Man in Mega Man 5 Plant Man can even throw his Plant Shield. He is also similar to Wood Man from Mega Man 2.

In the Mega Man fighting games he has the same attacks. But this time he can create vines that can fire projectiles at his opponent.

Weakness- Plant Man being based off plants has two weaknesses. He is weak against the Blizzard Attack. Blizzard attack freezes his plants and keeps him from doing a lot of his attacks. He is also weak to the Flame Weapon as the Flame weapon scorches him. This is a reference to plants being sensitive to very cold and very hot temperatures.

If the player defeats him they will get his plant barrier. The Plant Barrier can be used as a shield. It provides defense and offense.

He does not like Bees because they mistake him for a real flower and he is often stung by them. He really cares for nature and he can get angry and depressed over the destruction of Nature.

Despite working for Wily he is not really aggressive. He only becomes aggressive when somebody is destroying plants. This could be why that when he is not working for Wily he continues to manage and care for his Botanical garden in his native Brazil and Amazon Forest area.

He is a nature themed robot and is similar to Wood Man. Both robot masters care about the environment. Both are made out of plants with Wood Man representing trees and Plant Man representing plants. In addition, both robot masters use a shield as their main weapon. Wood Man's shield is in the form of leaves while Plant Man looks like flower pedals.
