Mega Man 5 introduced us to two space themed robot masters Star Man and Gravity Man. Today I'm going to focus on Star Man. Star Man made his debut in Mega Man 5. He has made cameo appearances in other games, so lets learn about him.

Background- After the events of Mega Man 4, but before the events of Mega Man 5 Dr. Wily created Star Man. Wily created Star Man to explore space, low gravity areas, and for combat purposes. He was also tasked with the manager for some of Wily's space stations. During the events of Mega Man 5 Wily used Star Man in his new scheme to defeat Mega Man, and take over the world.

Star Man took over an abandoned space station orbiting the earth. He activated the space station serving as its supervisor with his robots working under him. He also rigged his space station with traps anticipating Mega Man would show up.

It is speculated that he may have been hoping to use his rebuilt base to hide weapons for Wily or to use to send astroids crashing to earth since his stage has them in it. After participating in the original attack with his peers. He returned to his station base. Mega Man eventually stormed his base and got through his traps. Star Man challenged Mega Man but was defeated. Therefore, Mega Man liberated the space station and neutralized the threat that Star Man may or may not have posed. He made cameo appearances in other games, so it is obvious that Wily rebuilt Star Man. On the other hand, Mega Man 5 is the only game he is a boss. Thus, it could be speculated he went back to setting up space stations or exploring space for Wily afterwards.

Appearance- Star Man is human like robot master. He mostly has brown, maroon, and yellow armor. He has a star on his helmet. He also has a huge star in his chest and smaller stars on his arms. He also has a buster on his arm. He also is shown to have white feet.

Personality- Star Man is shown to make decisions on how he feels rather than thinking things through. He also does not like logic and does not like pessimist. It is also revealed that he likes classical music, opera, and likes romantic novels. He also likes to read novels in his spare time. Unlike some of his peers is not really aggressive only aggressive when somebody enters his space station or when ordered by Wily. Being based off of a star he likes to look at the stars and different moons of different planets.

Attack- He uses his Star Crash a lot in battles. His Star Crash works as a defense and offense weapon. He surrounds himself with star like projectiles this can protect him from some attacks. He can also throw his Star Crash at opponents doing damage. While he is using his shield he can fire regular buster shots. Also he loves to jump a lot and try to collide with his opponents.

Weakness- His pattern can be simple at times. When he throws his shield he leaves himself open to attacks. He is weak to Water Wave. Water Wave actually gets through his shield hitting him multiple times. The Water wave will also destroy his shield.

If the player defeats him they will get his Star Crash Weapon. Star Crash works as a defense weapon and offense weapon. The player can use Star Crash as a shield to get through obstacles and it blocks certain shots from enemies. The shield can also be thrown as an offensive weapon.

As stated Star man often has big dreams. He often has big dreams. However, a lot of his dreams are not logical. He himself is not logical as he does not listen to logic. He also maces choices based on his dreams instead of being realistic. That is why he does not like pessimists and things realistic because they bust his bubbles.

There is some speculation that Star Man may have been based off of the stars in the Mario Series but this has never been confirmed by Capcom. Regardless he is based off of the stars. He is one of 2 space themed robot masters to appear in a game at the same time. The other space themed robot master in Mega Man 5 is Gravity Man. Ironically Gravity Man being a Space themed robot master himself is weak to Star Man's weapon. While he was rebuilt after the events of Mega Man 5 he has only made cameo appearances in future games instead of participating in the games. It is unknown why this is. It could be that Wily just uses him for space exploratory and not an attempt to take over the world like he has used his other robots several times. This concludes the Star Man Biography.
