Bright Man is a robot master that made his debut in the hit game Mega Man 4. He also went on to appear in Mega Man IV for Game Boy. While not as popular as some of the other Mega Man 4 robot masters he has appeared in future games.


Background- Bright Man was originally built by Russian Robotic Scientists Dr. Cossack. He was originally designed to explore very dark areas by providing light. In addition, he was also built to provide electricity in times of power outages. Therefore, he was similar to Elec Man as Elec man was originally designed to provide power in times of need.

However, during the events of Mega Man 4 Cossack's daughter was taken hostage by Dr. Wily. Therefore, Cossack was forced to turn his robots other to be modified by Wily and work for him. Wily modified Bright Man into a combat style robot.

Bright Man now being modified by Wily was given more weapons to go with his combat ability. He took over a power plant and designed several traps anticipating the arrival of Mega Man. Mega Man confronted him and defeated him.

After the events of Mega Man 4 he was rebuilt by Dr. Wily in his new scheme to take over the world in Mega Man IV for Game Boy. Once again he took over a power plant to steal and provide power for Wily's machines. He was once again defeated by Mega Man liberating the power plant, and slowing down Wily. He has appeared in a few other games usually working for Wily.

Appearance- He is a human type robot with a large light bulb for a helmet. The light bulb can absorb or create power. He is often seen with pink or coral type armor. He has a buster cannon on one of his hands. He also tends to have white shoes.

Personality- He is an intelligent robot master being able to manage or control electricity. He is shown to be an inventor concerning things electric during his spare time. He can be a talker which can get on his colleagues nerves as he can talk and talk for hours without a rest. He also seems to hate red like districts because they slow him down. He likes to take things fast. Moreover, he can also sometimes be a cheater as he likes to cheat in fights.

Attack- In both Mega Man 4 and Mega Man IV for Game Boy he can be difficulty due to his random attacks. He can either jump and try to land onto the player. He can shoot the player/opponent with his buster. His main attack is to use his flash stopper. In this attack he will admit a bright beam from his light bulb. The light Bulb can stun opponents. During this time while his opponent is stun he will either jump or shoot.

Weakness- His weakness is rain flush as the water causes him to temporarily short out. This can stop him from using his flash stopper. Given how he is weak to rain flush it is also likely that he is weak to other water based weapons.

If the player defeats him they will gain his Flash Stopper. They will be able to stun enemies and also be able to shoot them while they are stunned.

As stated Bright Man is an inventor and loves to invent things electric. Even after working for Wily he still loves to invent things electrical. However, he often talks too much which gets on his peers nerves. He does not like Red Light Districts because they slow him down. It is also hinted he hates things that are rigged such as red light cameras why is not really known. He hates faulty wiring because he was originally designed to provide electricity and given that he is an electrical robot.

Like Most Mega Man 4 robots he was not rebuilt by Cossack after the events of that game. Instead he has been rebuilt by Wily. While not as popular as some of the others. Given how he has appeared in future games it is likely that Wily likes having him a round mainly to provide power to his machines when he needs him too. some people consider him to be a cheater as he cheats in fights by using his weapon only to sometimes do nothing, shoot the player or jump right into them.
