Mega Man 3 was a huge hit for the Mega Man franchise. While Mega Man 2 is what established Mega Man as a video game icon Mega Man 3 continued that. Mega Man 3 also gave us some unique robot masters. Gemini Man is one of the robot masters who made his debut in Mega Man Three.

During the events of Mega Man 3 Dr. Wily seemed to have turned good and built 8 new robot masters with Dr. Light. However, Wily had secretly reprogrammed the 8 new robot masters to do his bidding in his latest scheme. Gemini Man was one of the robot masters Light and Wily Built. He is named after the Gemini sign.

He was originally created to work in crystal mines since his stage has a lot of crystals in it. He has the ability to make clones of himself. He also is equipped with a powerful laser like weapon. His laser was designed likely to help extract mining and also for defense purposes.

However, Unknown to Dr. Light, Wily had reprogrammed Gemini Man to run wild in the mines, to get the latest minerals so Wily could take over the world once again. He built a base in the underground crystal mines. His base is full of traps he set for Mega Man. His base has water, booby traps, and lots of enemies.

Eventually, Mega Man made his way through his base. Gemini Man used his clones and laser weapon to put up a good fight. However, he was eventually defeated by Mega Man. He has appeared in other games usually working for Dr. Wily.

Appearance- Gemini Man is usually shown with crystal like things coming out of his helmet. He appears to have mostly ice blue armor with white on it. Moreover, he also has black arms and legs. He has a cannon on each arm that he uses to fire his Gemini Laser. In terms of height he is about the same height as Mega Man.

Personality- As his name implies he has two personalities. He is a competent leader and is confident in his abilities. He is also loyal as he works for Wily even after the events of Mega Man 3. His other personality is that of a narcissist. He loves to create clones of himself and admire himself through the crystals. He also can sometimes think of himself being above others. Therefore, he is sometimes quite vain. His personality is a reflection of his astrology sign the Gemini. It should be noted he has a comical fear of snakes. It is shown he goes to pieces if he sees a snake, that could be because one of his weaknesses is the search snake weapon.

Attack- Gemini Man can be a handful in battle and puts up a good fight. He loves to make clones of himself. It is revealed in future games he can make up to 4 clones of himself to confuse his opponents. He also loves to run around with his clones and try to hit his opponent from behind while they are dealing with his clones. His more powerful weapon is his Gemini Laser which can cut through just about anything including hard armor. The laser can bounce off walls giving multiple hits. It is shown he can fire his laser in a fast matter. While he is not as fast as Elec Man or Quick Man he is pretty fast.

Weaknesses- Gemini Man has some weaknesses. He is weak to the Search Snake which is why he goes to pieces when he sees a snake. The Search Snake disrupts his ability to produce clones. In future games due to him having crystals on him he is shown to be sensitive to heat weapons.

If the player defeats him they will gain his Gemini Laser weapon. A weapon that can be used to do multiple hits off of enemies. The laser can also bounce off of walls and be used against thick armor enemies.

He likes mirrors and crystals because he can admire his reflection of himself. As mentioned he does not like snakes because that is his weakness.

Gemini Man is based off of the astrology sign the Gemini which represents twins. This is also why he likely has a split personality altering from a competent confident leader to a very vain narcissists. He has crystals on him. While it is not shown to be slippery in his debut game. In other games his bases are slippery. Therefore, one could argue he could be considered an ice themed robot master due to his crystals and stage in future games being slippery.

Due to having the ability to make several clones of himself as well as use his laser weapon he is considered an unique robot master. In future Mega Man games other robot masters or mavericks in the X series can clone themselves. It is likely that Gemini Man may have been the inspiration for these characters.
