Heat Man first appeared in Mega Man 2. He also continued the theme of element robot masters. In Heat Man's case he was a fire or heat based robot master. After his appearance in Mega Man 2 he would go onto to appear in other Mega Man games. Anyway, lets learn about Heat Man.

Background- Heat Man was created after Dr. Wily's defeat at the hands of Mega Man. He was 1 out of 8 robot masters that Wily created to not just take over the world, but to also get revenge against Mega Man. Dr. Wily based Heat Man off of Fire Man. In fact, Dr. Wily considered Heat Man to be an upgrade from Fire Man. He can withstand temperatures hotter than Fire man can and is therefore resistance to melting. In fact, he often builds bases near lava.

He built his base near Lava and was going on a rampage. Due to being built of heavy armor he was difficult to stop. Eventually Mega Man made his way through his lava base. Heat Man put up a good fight, but was eventually defeated by Mega Man ending his rampage. However, he has since appeared in future games.

Appearance- Heat Man's body resembles a cigar lighter. He often has red and yellow armor. He has a dial on the back that he can charge up his atomic fire. He can also tuck his head into his armor. However, it is shown sometimes his helmet closes up on him when he is not ready for it too. He is short and very bulky.

Personality- Heat Man has a complex personality. He is loyal to Wily and does not hesitate to go on rampages when Wily wants him too. On the other hand, he is known to be care free and likes to work at his own pace. He loves heating things up and even likes Barbeques. However, he will go into a fit of rage if he gets near water or anything cold. This is likely due to water and very cold temperatures are his weaknesses.

Attacks- Heat Man is very decent at combat. He can charge up his Atomic Fire how much he wants to as well as how hot he wants it to be is totally up to him. He can charge his Body up and turn into a massive fireball. While in his fireball mode he can use that to tackle and burn enemies. He can also throw smaller shots of his atomic fire at his opponents as well. He has very thick armor when he closes his helmet he is immune to most attacks due to his very thick armor.

Weaknesses- However, Heat Man has a few weaknesses. First, he is weak to water and therefore bubble lead is an effective weapon to use against him. This makes since since water puts out fires. In future games he can be very weak to extreme cold as he does not function as well in the cold. Another weakness is a slight defect he has. Sometimes his helmet will close on him when he is not ready for it to. Thus, this can disrupt his timing.

After being defeated the player will get the Atomic Fire weapon. A powerful weapon that can shoot fire balls at enemies, it can also be charged. Therefore, Atomic Fire was one of the first special weapons that could be charged.

His Profile States- A robot master built off and based off of Fireman. He is seen as an upgrade. He has a blaster that can shoot fireballs up to 12,000 degrees.

Good Point- He enjoys his work

Bad Point- He can be care free at times

Likes- Barbeque and burning things.

Dislike- Ice Cream.

His dislike of Ice Cream could be due to two things. First, he probably cannot hold an ice cream cone due to the amount of heat he produces. Basically, as soon as he touched it it would melt on him and therefore he cannot enjoy it. Second, Ice Cream is a reference to cold which Heat Man does not function as well in the cold.

Heat Man was the second fire or heat based robot master. Given how future fire robot masters have thick armor. It could be that Heat Man served as a template for them. He is also short about the same height as Mega Man. Without his weakness he can be tricky to defeat. On the other hand, with his weakness he is very easy as water puts him out quickly.

As I stated he is loyal to Wily and will go on rampages when he is ordered to. But he also likes to be care free and go at his own pace. In some games it is shown that does not like to get in a hurry, which is what his CD could be referencing. Anyway, this concludes the Heat Man Biography.
