Mega Man 2 is what put the Mega Man series on the map. This game introduced 8 new robot masters. In fact, this game would become the standard of having a total of 8 Robot Masters. In addition, Mega Man 2 is what established Mega Man as one of the all time popular iconic video game characters at one time. Flash Man made his debut in Mega Man 2.
Background- After being defeated by Mega Man Dr. Wily created 8 new robot masters to not just take over the world, but to also defeat Mega Man. Flash Man was one of the 8 robot masters created. Dr. Wily created Flash Man with the ability to mess with time. Basically, so he could stop time and freeze Mega Man for a few seconds. Dr. Wily made 6 of the 8 robot masters immune to Flash Man except for Quick Man, who has a defect in him making him vulnerable
Flash Man can also teleport in future games. He is also equipped with a rapid fire cannon. He created his own base that included flashing lights. Mega Man invaded his base. He tried to freeze Mega Man for a few seconds, but was quickly defeated. Since then Flash Man has appeared in other games with the same ability.
Appearance- Flash Man is a bulky robot master with blue and yellow armor. He also appears to have white hands. He has a blue Helmet but it is revealed he has no hair and is bald.
Personality- Flash Man appears to be that of a prankster as he loves stopping time for a few seconds to pull pranks on others. He is also vain as he likes to stop time and admire himself. Moreover, he could be considered sensitive as he is sensitive that Dr. Wily designed him without any hair. Despite being a prankster he is an effective leader as he cares deeply about his crew in his base. He also loves to do photography.
Attacks- He mainly charges at the player and then uses his time stopper to freeze opponents. While they are froze he likes to use his rapid fire cannon to attack them. He also likes to jump into opponents being bulky.
Weakness- Flash Man has several weaknesses. First of all, his attack pattern is being simple. The player can jump high to avoid some of his bullets. His armor is not that durable as some of his peers. Metal Blade can shred him in a few hits. Crash Bomb also does significant damage. Due to his simple pattern he can be taken down easily. It could also be that he is weak to fire weapons. AS a fully charged atomic fire can also take him out in a few shots.
Here is his CD Data
Good Point- He is caring for his crew
Bad Point- He is a prankster
Likes- Photography
Dislikes- Hair commercials.
Height- Slightly taller than Mega Man probably 4'6 or 4'7.
Weight- Heavy probably over 250 pounds due to being bulky.
His dislike for hair commercials is a reference to that he has no hair and is sensitive about it, which causes him to have a chip on his shoulder. Flash Man also could be considered the first Time robot master. Thus, it is likely he served as a template for future time robot masters. He really cares about his crew, but sometimes his pranks can get on his peers nerves. In the game he is one of the easiest robot masters. This is likely due to Capcom wanting him to be first to introduce the player to the controls.
Overall, as his name applies he is a flashy character as he built his base with flashing lights. He can also stop time. Him liking photography could be a reference to a flash that a camera makes. He first appeared in Mega Man 2 but has as I stated appeared in future games.
