Cut man was one of the first robot masters in the Mega Man franchise. He made his debut in 1987 in the very first Mega Man game. He has since appeared in other games. He has even been referenced in the X series.

Background- At one time Dr Wily and Dr. Light were colleagues and worked together building robots. Cut Man was 1 of 9 robots built the others being Guts Man, Elec Man, Fire Man, Ice Man, Bomb Man, Proto Man, Mega Man, and Roll. Cut Man was designed to be a land clearing robot. He was designed to help the logging industry by cutting timber. He was equipped the rolling cutter a weapon that can fire very sharp blades that can cut just about through anything. The Rolling Cutter can also act as a boomerang type weapon for Cut Man.

After Dr Wily turned evil he took Cut Man along with Guts Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man, Ice Man, and Elec Man. He left behind Proto Man, Mega Man, and Roll. Dr. Wily reprogrammed Cut Man in his quest to take over the world. He begin to go on rampages holding the world's forest hostages. He begin to cut more than he was supposed to. Basically, he started destroying the forests so people would bend to Wily.

Eventually, Mega Man or even Proto Man, depending on the game, raids his base and encounters Cut Man. Cut Man was very aggressive and foolishly challenged Mega Man to a duel. Cut Man was defeated ending his rampage. At some time he was seen in future games still working for Dr. Wily. However, each time he was defeated by Mega Man or Proto Man, again depending on the game.

Physical Appearance- Cut Man is a short Robot Master he is about the same height as Mega Man in most games. He has red and white armor or sometimes its red and gray depending on the game. He has large scissors on top of his helmet. The scissors can be used as a boomerang type weapon. He is also very slender and thin for a robot master.

Personality- He his highly alert and scouts his surroundings carefully. He is aware of what is going on around him. He takes his role seriously. However, he can be very stubborn and hard to control. He does not listen to others. Moreover, he is rebellious this makes him hard to control. Even Dr. Wily has a hard time controlling him.

Attacks- Cut Man's attack varies depending on the game. He can follow a simple pattern where he throws his rolling cutter often jumping before he trows it. In other games he jumps and spams his rolling cutter. His attack pattern can be simple.

Weakness- Cut Man has several weaknesses. He is weak to Guts Man and is shown to be weak to stone weapons. This is because they likely break his scissors or cutters. He has been weak to fire weapons in other games he has appeared in. When fighting him the rolling cutter has a delay before it returns to him. This is when he is open to attacks. It should be noted due to being made out of thinner armor Cut Man is not the most durable Robot Master. He can be defeated in just a few hits. It is also hinted due to his light armor he might be weak to air weapons that involve wind.

Dislikes- Rocks

Cut Man's dislikes for Rocks could be a reference to Guts Man and Stone Man. Both of their weapons break his blades. It is also likely a reference to rock paper scissors as Rock beats scissors.

Height- About 4'4-4'5 he is about the same height as Mega Man.

Weight- Not Known but rumored to be less than 150 pounds as he is slender and made of thin armor.

Cut Man was one of the first Robot Masters made. He has appeared in several games. Him being the least durable was probably done on purpose. It is obvious that he was intended to be the first Robot Master players went after. After beating him the player will get Rolling Cutter or Rolling Slicer depending on the game.
