Mega Man One as it is now known came out in 1987. This game was the start of one of the video game's most iconic franchise Mega Man. Even the first game introduced a theme that has become a staple in Mega Man games and that is element themed robot masters. Ice Man was the first ice themed robot master. He made his debut in the first game. He has appeared in future games as well, so it is time to learn about him.

Background- Ice Man was created by Dr Light and Dr Wily when they were working together. He was created to handle extreme cold temperatures. The colder he likes the more he likes it. His original job was to help monitor data from the arctic. He also was made to rescue people who got stranded on the Earth's coldest places. He can handle hot climates but he is less powerful there. His weapon is the Ice Slasher a weapon that can freeze just about anything. He can also use it to create art.

However, When Dr. Wily turned evil he took Ice Man with him. He reprogrammed Ice Man to do his bidding. After being taken by Wily he started to create havoc with his ice slash weapon. He begin to create very cold conditions for those that lived in the Arctic such as freezing power sources, surrounding cities with ice, and blocking roads with ice walls. Mega Man and/or Proto Man depending on the game set out to put down his rampage. He challenged the heroes, again depending on the game, to a duel which he lost and was defeated. Thus his rampage was over with.

Appearance- Ice Man is a very short robot master. He is blue or aqua color due to the game. He appears to be wearing an Eskimo outfit. His gloves and shoes appear to be white in most of the games.

Personality- It is hinted that Ice Man can be vain as he likes to create ice sculptures. In one game it was shown he just admired himself via the reflection. He likes showing off his ice abilities again this hints that he is vain. His personality can also alter like a split personality. Sometimes he can be serious and when he is this way he can make effective plans and be competent. On the other hand, when he is vain he can become egocentric and self-centered. When his egocentric personality comes out he can forget his mission.

Attack- Ice man can be a tricky robot master. He loves to spam his ice slasher weapon. His ice weapon can do damage and freeze most things. In the first game he can jump up and down at a good clip making him hard to hit. IN other games he can slide and fire his ice weapon.

Weakness- He is weak to the Thunder Beam as it can short him out quickly. While he is not weak to Fire Storm, he is weak to other fire weapons. When he is in warmer climates he is not as powerful as he is when he is in colder places. He can sometimes have a delay in firing ice slashers this is when he can be open for attacks. As I stated another weakness is his self-centered attitude. When he has that personality going on he can forget his duties or what his mission is.

A robot created to function in the very coldest places on the Earth. He can function in warmer climates but he is less powerful their. His ice slasher can freeze just about anything.

Good Point- That really depends on what type of personality he is having. When he is in a serious mode he can be effective. He also takes pride in his work.

Bad Point- He is egocentric especially with his other personality. He likes to show off and that can get him into trouble.

Likes- Snowball fights he loves the snow and loves to have fun in it.

Dislikes- He does not like warm climates this is because he is is not as powerful.

Ice Man was the first ice themed robot master. It is revealed that Freeze Man highly respects Ice Man with Ice man being the first of their kind. He likes to make sculptures although as I stated this can get himself in trouble. He is shorter than Mega Man so it is likely he is 4 feet tall as Mega Man is 4'4 or 4'5 depending on the game.
