At summer camp when I was 12ish years old my friends and I had a running joke about "Margaret," a woman that worked as a custodian in the cafeteria. I'm not really sure how the joke started. I think one of my friends made a joke along the lines of someone ending up like Margaret when they're older. Kinda cruel, sure, but it was middle school, and it's not like we said anything to her face.
Anyway, apparently we made a mess during lunch one day. I don't really remember if we did or not, if we did it probably wasn't me because I wasn't that type of kid, but regardless, there was a mess and the camp director blamed me and my friends. She tracked us down after lunch and gave us a lecture about how we should be cleaning up after ourselves. We're mostly just looking down the whole time, letting her talk, waiting for it to be over. But then the director says "it's not fair for you to leave a mess, because then someone else has to clean it up." I immediately know exactly where she is heading with it, and I am internally begging her not to say Margaret's name because I knew we were all going to lose it, and that would only make matters worse for us. "And you know who has to clean it up?" she continues. "Margaret!" We all burst out laughing. She was not happy.
