Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – SPOILERS
Overall Rating: Score 9.9
Graphics: 9/10The textures in this game were insane, especially at the end where the quality got even better.
The environment was nice. I loved the forests near the start of the game. The towns felt real, like in Kalm, Costa del sol, or even Nibleheim.
The battles had good graphics, maybe not as good as cutscenes, but about cutscenes, if it was not very important, then just regular quality, which is still really good.
The limit breaks were nice to see, the summons definitely looked better though.
The detail put into the characters was also very crazy, and the facial expressions too, or even when they were idle, and the outfits were nice, most anyway.
Sound: 10/10The music wasn’t *as* good as Remake, but there were a few really good songs, like Price of Freedom, Aerith’s theme, and Sephiroth’s theme were all good.
The voice acting was awesome, and I cannot believe how many characters had a voice.
In the battles the sounds were nice, like the swords clashing, or the spells, summons too, I actually really liked the sound of the summons.
The ambiance was nice, I liked the wind, or just the birds, even people talking in the distance, sometimes helicopters.
Addictive: 8/10The thing that made me not want to stop playing was the story, I really wanted to know what happened next.
The side quests were a little boring, some were fun, but the chores were horrible, or whatever you had to do with Cait Sith for over an hour.
Discovering new places was fun, or finding a chocobo stable, they had some good side quests, although it was boring sometimes.
Selecting the Materia, weapons, or doing the skills stuff looked fun, you could upgrade stuff.
Story: 10/10Chapter 1
The story started with Cloud waffling about what happened 5 years ago back in Nibleheim, and how Sephiroth went evil, but the thing is- he mixed up his memories with Zack’s, which if you don’t understand what I’m talking about, then you probably haven’t played any FFVII games. After Cloud finished waffling, Sephiroth tried tricking Cloud into thinking Tifa wasn’t actually Tia, and that she was some kind of imposter, but Tifa proved to Cloud that it was her. But this is as far as I’ll get with the story. Now I will talk about what I thought of it. It was very good, tons of plot twists and unexpected things, cliffhangers in the game, that we have to wait until 2028 to find out. I loved the story; it was literally almost Perfection.
Depth: 8.5/10The sidequests weren’t that deep in the story, just stuff that you didn’t need to know, but I think maybe a few had meaning.
Is it worth exploring the whole map? Yes, although it’d take a very long time if you did, so if you're interested in that type of stuff, go ahead, but if you're more interested in the story then don’t, or at least not much.
There were quite a few minigames, and a card game that I never got to play, but it’s called Queens Blood. There was also a thing where you could play the piano anywhere, and you could unlock new songs.
The game had lots of weapons and Materia customization.
Is this just a long game — or a deep one? The game is very deep, and very long, if you were to do everything in the game, it’d probably take 80-100 hours, but excluding all of the quests you're looking at 40-60 hours.
Difficulty: 5/10The game wasn’t hard, mostly because I played on easy, I guess a few times it was hard though. So, for this part I cannot give much of a description for.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was amazing, Good Graphics, Awesome Sound, pretty Addictive, a 10/10 story, a lot of Depth, but not so hard on easy. The wait was worth it, and now I wait for what’s next. Maybe this year we will have a game like Intergrade, maybe focusing on a different character like Cid, Vincent, who knows! But I do have some theories, since at the end, Cloud is the only one who can see Aerith, I think that he’s in the universes at the same time, not to mention that he's the only one that can see the rip in the sky.
