Today in my area we hit 98 degrees which is 8 degrees above my city's average high. Since its July the 4th I thought I would do a heat based maverick. In this case I'm going to do a biography of Blaze Heatnix. Heatnix was a reploid that first appeared in the events of Mega Man X6. He was labeled a maverick, reploids that pose a danger to the world. Lets learn about this fire and heat themed character since its toasty as well as steamy outside.

Blaze Heatnix was originally created by Gate to work in hot spots. He was also created to investigate volcanoes. He could withstand the hottest temperature known to mankind. In addition, to volcano researching and investigating. His other purpose was to be able to rescue people and reploids in dangerous volcano eruptions. It was believed he was a capable leader. Heatnix though believed in only the strongest survived. He believed those that got themselves in dangerous situations deserved to die or get injured. If any of this team members fell behind, got injured or in dangerous situations he would leave them behind to die. He considered them fools and just the strongest surviving.

Heatnix was fired from his jobs. The world organizations told Gate to control Heatnix. However, even Gate could not control Heatnix. When the world organizations saw that Gate could not control him. Undercover agents where sent to one of his work areas or an area that he took over. They took out Heatnix then they blew up his base to make sure he was dead for good.

During the events of Mega Man X6 Gate resurrected Blaze Heatnix. It is speculated that Gate secretly dug through the ruble and retrieved the remnants of Heatnix. That is likely, but also given how GAte could recreate reploids with their DNA. It is also likely Gate already had his DNA to bring him back.

Regardless Heatnix was brought back. He was assigned to take over an active volcano and set up a base. He was also a nightmare investigator. In reeality Gate had created the nightmare after being infected with the Sigma Virus. Heatnix was spreading the Nightmares as well as spreading the Sigma Virus.

X and Zero confront him. He states that he knows that X and Zero are superior and not weak like the fools. He challenges the two hunters to a death battle. X and Zero destroy him ending his terror once and for all.

Appearance- Heatnix is based on the mythical creature the Phoenix. In some versions of the game Heatnix states due to being a Phoneix he will be back, but that is proven false. He is rather a tall reploid. He has large wings, a large beack, and very large talons. He appears to be red, orange and yellow in color. He has flames that constantly burn on his back and he has a fire constantly coming from his body. Like most of Gate's creations he has a horn on his forehead.

Personality- Originally Heatnix possessed great leadership, rescue and research abilities. However, something went wrong inside of him. It is speculated he had short in his circuits or was already infected. He strongly believes in only the strong survive. He does not respect those that fall behind, get in dangerous situations, or get injured. He also believes that he is superior to almost anyone. He is also a very cold person. This is proven when he leaves comrades behind to perish. He also stopped rescuing reploids believing that it was just nature taken its course.He also did not respect authority. Even Gate could not control him. He constantly ignored laws and safety protocall Despite beign warned and getting into trouble he did not care. When Gate brings him back he is still just as cold as ever. He takes his job of spreading the sigma virus seriously.

After being resurrected he was very violent. It is implied that maybe he wanted to release the active volcano onto those that where near it as in some versions he states he has big plans for the volcano. He wants nothing more than to cause destruction to eliminate those that are fools and weak.

Abilities- Heatnix can survive the hottest temperature known to human kind. He can also control fire and absorb heat. He can also fly. He is powerful and processes decent speed. In addition, he can analyze volcano data. Originally he had good leadership abilities but he leaves them and instead develops warped ideas. He also does posses powerful attacks.

Attacks- Heatnix being a fire and heat based maverick has several powerful attacks. His main attack is to control the magma. He will release magma at his opponents. The magma can be instant death. He can also fill half of the room with magma. Another powerful attack is he can create a huge fireball and shoot it at opponents. This attack does serious damage. Another attack is his powerful magma wave. Heatnix will create waves of fireballs. He can also turn into a comet and try to tackle his opponents.

Weaknesses- He is weak to the ground and stone weapon. This attack stuns him and messes up his timing. His main weakness is his own ideas, lack of remorse, and arrogance. He challenges X and Zero to a death battle and quickly looses. He believes that everybody else except for the elite are weak and fools. He constantly boasts about this. Basically he underestimates opponents especially X and Zero.

Blaze Heatnix had a fall from grace even before the events of Mega Man X6. He was originally created for a good purpose and even started out good. However, for whatever reason he rapidly changed. He became a dangerous reploid. He soon no longer cared about how many people perished due to his actions. He also had no respect for anybody, authorities, laws, regulations and safety protocalls. Even after he was brought back he still had no remorse for his actions. He also was still arrogant, and dangerous before he was put down. Therefore, he is not considered a tragic character for these reasons. This concludes the biography.
