Metal Shark Player or simply known as Metal Shark was a reploid that first appeared in Mega Man X6. He was originally a good guy but later became a maverick, reploids that pose a danger, during the events of Mega Man X6. Anyway, lets learn about him.

Metal Shark was created by Gate to be a recycle eco friendly reploid. He would later recycle dead reploids so their parts could be used to build new reploids. He was so good at his job that he was made the director of recycling plants. His DNA analyzing abilities also won him awards and he later was promoted to chief director over several recycling plants. On the side he started analyzing DNA to to do experiments on deceased mavericks. He was able to create clones of dead mavericks. This was deemed illegal by the world organizations. Gate believing that Metal Shark's research did not pose a threat did not take action against him. In fact, Gate encouraged his work.

However, the world organizations where not amused and believed that Shark's experiments posed a danger. When they discovered his recycling plants were severing the bases for his work. His plants was destroyed. He was also destroyed in a conspiracy.

During the events of Mega Man X6 Gate became a maverick due to getting infected with the Sigma Virus. Gate resurrected Metal Shark. This time Metal Shark was a maverick. He rebuilt one of his recycle plants. Except this time his job was to analyze DNA, spread the Sigma Virus, serve as a nightmare investigator, and try to create clones of Mavericks. X and Zero encounter him they tell him if he stops his actions they would call it a day. Instead he wants to defeat X and Zero to analyze their DNA to earn praise from Gate. He is quickly defeated by the powerful Maverick Hunters. He is destroyed for good along with his rebuilt plant.

Appearances- Metal Shark is based off a hammer head shark. He is tall. He is mostly a blue reploid with the colors of yellow and gray. He also has shark like teeth and fins.

Personality- Before he was a maverick. He took his job as an eco friendly robot seriously. He wanted to help the environment. He was great at recycling. He was also a great leader as he managed his plants very well. In addition, he was a great at research and analyzing. However, he had own ambitions likely to be the top researcher and he got greedy. He started doing illegal experiments.

During the events of Mega Man X6 he is a maverick. He is insane, and angry. He wants to spread the nightmare. Moreover, he wants to create his own army of cloned mavericks to release on those that did him wrong. He only serves Gate and is loyal to him. He can be overconfident as he thought he could defeat X and Zero as well as analyze their DNA. This leads to his downfall.

Abilities- Shark is great at analyzing DNA he has the ability to process what he learns quickly. He is also a great researcher as he is able to create clones of the deceased. As a Maverick, he can attack with speed, bite, use dead mavericks in his attacks. His main weapon is his metal anchor which can pierce even the toughest armor.

Attacks- Shark has lots of powerful attacks. His most powerful attack is his metal anchor. He will throw a large metal projector in the shape of a boat anchor. The anchor can bounce around producing multiple hits. His anchor weapon can also pierce even the toughest armor. He can also use his weight in battle He will jump over his opponents then use his hammer head to smash them. Another attack is using clones of dead mavericks. When he uses this the clones will use that maverick's main attack. In some versions of the game he is able to swim under the piles of junk, jump out, grab the opponent and bite them.

Weakness- He is weak to the water weapon. However, this weapon is not like regular water as this water corrodes his armor. It also causes metal to rust. He can also be prone to air attacks. Another weakness is his over confidence. He thinks nobody can beat him and as a result he foolishly challenges X and Zero to a battle, which he is destroyed.


Overall, Metal Shark started out as a good guy. He really wanted to help the world in an eco-friendly way. He was very skilled at what he did and won several awards. However, his own ambitions and greed got the best of him. He wanted to be top in the world so he started doing illegal experiments. It is speculated by some that he may have become infected and that is what he did what he did. When he is brought back to life, he is full of anger and revenge. He wants nothing more than to please Gate. Unlike other reploids he has no remorse for helping Gate spread the Nightmare and Sigma Virus. Therefore, he is not considered a tragic figure due to his greed and how he has no remorse for his actions. Unlike some of his other fellow Gate reploids such as Wolffang, Turtleloid, and Sheldon he shows no remorse. It should also be noted unlike the ones I mentioned X and Zero had not problem and remorse from destroying him. IN some versions of the game they state his reign of terror and illegal experiments are over for good. This concludes the Metal Shark biography.
