Commander Yammark is a reploid that first and only appeared in Mega Man X6. He originally was not a maverick, reploids that pose a danger, but became a maverick due to the events of Mega Man X6. He might even be considered a tragic character. Anyway, lets learn more about him.


Commander Yammark was originally created by Gate to support forest restoration and protection. He was in charge of leading protection services. In addition, he was in charge of managing the forest he was assigned too. He set a fire to do a control burn, but the fire got out of hand. Yammark was not accused of the incident and it was ruled to be an accident.

However, Yammark had great defensive abilities and was seen as too powerful. The world council organizations ordered Gate to weaken Yammark some as they where afraid he was too powerful. Gate refused to do so. Agents conspired and sabotaged Yammarks sensors and wings. This caused him to crash and die in the forest that he once helped protect.

After Gate became infected with the Sigma Virus. Gate resurrected his reploids that he had created. Those that were still alive, but Gate had weakened to win favor with the world. He restored them to their original power. Those that had been destroyed or sabotaged were also rebuilt. Gate rebuilt Commander Yammaark and made him a nightmare investigator. Once again he was assigned to the forest. Except this time his job was to spread the Nightmare and Sigma Virus.

He remembered being betrayed and having his sensor and wings sabotaged. This made him very paranoid. He was loyal to Gate though due to rebuilding him. He was encountered by X and Zero they asked him to stop the nightmare. Yammark being paranoid and having major trust issues refused to work with the Maverick Hunters and attacked them. X and Zero destroyed him for good.

Appearance- Commander Yammark is based off of a dragon fly. He is a green reploid and appears to have white colored wings. He also has red in his armor. Height wise he is about the size of X and Zero. Basically, he is average height.

Personality- His personality is complex. Before he was a maverick he took his role as being manager and protector of the forest seriously. He also took his leadership role seriously. After being rebuilt and now a maverick. He was full of rage and was very paranoid. He remembered dying the first time and he remembered how his system had been tampered with. This made him very paranoid and have major trust issues. The only person he trusted was Gate. He was loyal to Gate and only served him.

His paranoid and trust issues lead to his downfall. When encountered by X and Zero he thought they where there to kill him. When in reality X and Zero did not want to fight him they came asking for his help and information on the nightmare. After they told him they did not want to kill him. He stated that he would not work with them as he was deleted and killed the first time. He then said he would kill X and Zero. He engaged the two Maverick Hunters in battle and was quickly destroyed and killed for good.

Abilities- Being based off of a dragon fly. Yammark has the ability to fly. He also has great defensive abilities. His Yammatar option provides him with defense. He can also use this attack in battle. Before he was a maverick he had great managerial skills as he was manager of the forest. He also possessed great leadership abilities.

Attacks-His main attack is his Yamatar Option. In this attack he will surround himself with dragonfly like drones. The drones also shoot plasma at his opponents while at the same time offering Commander protection in the form of a shield. Another attack is he uses his drones to form a line above and below him. He will then fly across his room with his drones firing plasma shots. His desperate attack is his swarm attack. In this attack he uses his dragonfly drones as a swarm to swarm his opponents while he fires plasma shots. The drones can also fire plasma shots.

Weaknesses-X's well placed charge shots does significant damage to him and destroys his drones. Zero can uses his saber to slice his drones and attack Yammark. He is weak to the ray weapon. The ray weapon pierces through his defenses. Also considering how his stage is semi-dark the ray weapon's light most likely stuns him. Basically, he is sensitive to light.

His other weakness is he is so full of mistrust and paranoid. That he cannot see that X and Zero did not want to kill him like he though. This caused him to attack them which lead to his downfall.

Commander Yammark was once a respected reploid. Although, he was deemed to powerful like most of Gate's creations. After his infection with the Sigma Virus as Gate used that virus to strengthen his army he went insane. However, he is considered to be a tragic character in the maverick wars. This is because he was originally created to do good things. He was the victim of a conspiracy as agents and other researchers conspired to sabotage him. When he was brought back he remembered being betrayed. Thus, he was full of paranoid and mistrust. He did not trust anybody but Gate. Although, his paranoid lead to his death. It is understandable why he had the feelings. After all, he was betrayed and as a result was very paranoid. He believed everybody else except for Gate was out to get him like they did before. Still, his trust issues lead to his demise. This could be why X and Zero did show some remorse in having to kill him. Most likely they knew what had happened to him even though they were not involved in the conspiracy. In some versions Alia states that she was also not involved and she hoped he was at peace now.
