High Max is a reploid that so far has only appeared in Mega Man X6. He is first encountered early in the game. High max is technically a maverick, reploids who pose a danger. He plays an important role in the story line as well as the game.


After Gate became infected with the Sigma Virus he went mad. Gate upgraded his own reploids. He also rebuilt some of the ones that had been destroyed or sabotaged due to being too powerful. He also encountered Isoc, who became his right hand person. Gate and Isoc created High Max using what they thought was a piece of Zero as Zero was though to be dead. However, in cannon Zero was found and rejoined the Maverick Hunters. In some versions of X6 it is revealed that Gate actually used a piece of Sigma.

High Max was created to lead the nightmare investigators and reploids that where manipulated in joining Gate. The nightmare was a ruse as it was actually Gate that had created the nightmare. This was just a scheme to rule the world and spread the Sigma Virus. High Max was thought to be unstoppable and undefeated.

After Gate launches the Nightmare. X is called to investigate. X encounters High Max but cannot stop him. High Max taunts X and states that the maverick hunter is not amusing. He accuses X of creating the nightmare. When in reality its Gate behind it all and High Max is help spreading it. He lets X live and warns him to stay out of his way. After his encountered with X High Max becomes more arrogant. However, X learned about High Max in battle and how to defeat him.

He is seen midway through the game telling X and now Zero to stop interfering. He thinks he can defeat X again and he thinks he is more powerful than Zero. This proves to be his downfall. As X having learned about him defeats him. Zero also defeats him. Gate cannot believe his master piece was defeated. Gate decides to upgrade High Max to make him even more powerful.

He is last seen in Gate's Lab. This time he tells X and Zero that he is tired of playing games and its a fight to the death. X and Zero defeat and destroy High Max.

Appearance-He is a very tall reploid even towering over Isoc. Given how is twice the size of Zero it is likely he is at least 11 to possibly 12 feet tall. For the most part he has black/gray armor along with yellow armor. In the original version of the game he is shown to have a horn which a lot of Gates creations bear that mark.


Personality- High Max is very much aware of his superiority among reploids. This makes him cocky and arrogant. He believes that nobody can defeat him. He is shown to be a powerful leader as he leads the nightmare investigators. He also has a strong sense of loyalty to Gate and Isoc since they created him. Moreover, he can also be a manipulator as he along with Isoc manipulate reploids into investigating the nightmare. As I stated this is all a ruse. He promises reploids that he will protect them, which he does not. He does this by talking in a calm voice. But after he is defeated he becomes angrier and more violent.

However, his arrogance leads to his downfall. He becomes more arrogant after X seems to not be able to defeat him. As I mentioned earlier High Max failed to learn that X has unlimited potential and that X was learning about him in battle so X could defeat him again. Due to defeating X he does not think Zero can defeat him either. HE also failed to realize that Zero has great power and like X learns in battle. After being defeated he is seen for the final time this time more violent. He challenges the hunters to a death duel, which he is destroyed by X and Zero.

Abilities- High Max has great defense and offense attacks. Due to being superior not many weapons can hurt him. He is also shown to be a great strategist as he goes along with Gate's plains. He is also able to persuade and manipulate others into joining Gate nightmare investigation, which is a death trap. It is also shown he does have some analyzing skills when he states that X was not amusing to him.

Attacks-High Max has several powerful attacks that he uses. He can use his weight to collide into enemies. Due to his size the collision works in his favor. He can also tackle his opponents and send them crashing into the wall. In some versions he can grab his opponents and tackle them into the wall. He has a cross body attack. High Max will shoot several plasma balls at his opponent doing massive damage. He has his death punch attack. In this attack he will charge a plasma shot in his hand and try to punch his opponent this does massive damage. His most powerful attack is he will surround himself with plasma providing a shield. Then he will shoot plasma shots at his opponents.

Weaknesses- Despite his power and superiority HIgh Max arrogance gets the best of him. He fails to see that X and Zero have nearly unlimited potential. He also fails to see that X and Zero can also learn and learn stronger weapons. He is weak to an X charged shot to the head and then a special weapon such as ray arrow or the metal weapon. He is weak to Zero fire weapon then a saber shot.

Unlike other reploids in X6 High Max was a villain from the start. He was created to spread the Sigma Virus and lead reploids into a death trap. He was considered to be Gate's and Isoc's finest creation. He was believed to be undefeated. This was proven false as X and Zero defeats him. Despite being a maverick he does not appear to be under the influence of the Sigma Virus. On the other hand, when he is encountered for the final time he is angry and full of rage. Similar to a reploid under the influence of the Sigma Virus. This concludes the High Max biography.
