Any baseball fans out there complete the Immaculate Grid every day?

Immaculate Grid is a daily baseball trivia challenge that requires you to name players that fit two different criteria. The goal is to fill out the grid without making a mistake, as you only have 9 total guesses to fill each of the 9 boxes in the grid.

Some people (like myself) also add an additional challenge to the grid, by trying to achieve the lowest "rarity score." Every player that you guess correctly is accompanied by a percentage, which represents the percentage of players that named the same player for that box. Your "rarity score" is the sum of all of the percentages. My personal best rarity score so far is 25, which I achieved on July 1st with this grid:

Today I achieved a rarity score of 40. Could've been a lot better, I just didn't anticipate that 26% of people would have gone with Jose Iglesias for DET / COL. I thought it would have been a much rarer response.

Do you try for the best rarity score, or are you just content with completing the grid? What's your best rarity score so far?

I've done this a few times the past week and I've been having a ton of fun with it but I really wish there was a way to go back and play the older ones that how they did with Wordle and the other games. The only issue I have with the game is that there's rarely an in between, the answers are either really easy no trainers or almost impossible to guess if you aren't an expert.

I've played it a bit after seeing Foolish Baseball post about it on twitter. I like it as a brain teaser, but after a while I got a bit tired of playing based on memory. Now I play and try to complete by using baseball ref. Its cheating, but I like going back to the late 1800's to early 1900's to search for irrelevant players and just filling the grid. I don't do it for the rarity score honestly. I just like finding an obscure player on b-ref to ogle at their stats and, if they're a hall of famer, their write up on the National Baseball Hall of Fame's website.
