E. Honda is a character in Capcom's Street Fighter Series. He has become one of the more popular characters in the game. Here is more details about him.

Honda made his debut in Street Fighter II and has appeared in just about every game since. Honda is from Japan which he takes pride in. Honda is a Sumo wrestler that values honor and tradition. He generally does not like cheaters and those that do evil.

Honda's height is believed to be 6'2 and his weight has been listed on Capcom sites as 350. However, in the latest games his weight was was 302 lbs. He is taller than he looks due to him being in his sumo fighting stance a lot.

Honda was rising up in the ranks of Sumo. When he found out that the world did not consider Sumo wrestlers that great of fighters or martial arts. In fact, Honda was outraged when writers described Sumo as just two fight guys slapping each other. This enraged Honda. He entered the Street Fighter Tournament in the second game to prove Sumo wrestlers are great fighters, it is a martial arts, and there is joy in it.

He did well in the second game placing high among the fighters. In future games he enters tournaments to spread the joy of Sumo. He also wants to get Sumo as an Olympic Sport feeling like it is one of the all time greatest sports.

At some time after Street Fighter II he earned the rank of Ozeki the second highest rank in Sumo. He competes in the Sumo Ring and in Street Fighter tournaments. He takes his title of Ozeki very seriously. However, because he competes in Street Fighting tournaments this keeps him from being the highest rank which is Yokozuna. Sometimes this causes a minor conflict among his stable master. As his stable master tells him you could be promoted to Yokozuna if you would give up Street Fighting and focus on Sumo. On the other hand, his stable master is pleased that he honors tradition and tries to spread the sport.

When Honda is not competing in Sumo or Street Fighting he runs his bath house. Since he is an Ozeki he trains up and coming Sumo wrestlers. He trains them hard but they know it is for their good. It is also implied that he is a Chef in Street Fighter IV he sometimes quotes lets get a bite stop by and I will give you Chanko Stew.

Honda has friendly rivals with Zangief and Haken. This is because all three are wrestlers. Zangief being a Russian Wrestler. and Haken a Turkish Wrestler. It has become a friendly game among them which wrestling style is better.

Honda is good friends with the other Street Fighters. Except for Balrog, Vega, Bison and other Shadoloo members. He hates Shadaloo with a passion. He also does not like fighters who use gadgets in the ring instead of talent.

Honda's personality is an honorable man that as I stated values traditions. He is most of the time friendly and jolly. However, he can get brutal if he needs to be usually against evil doers. His favorite moves are his head but, 100 hand slap, and Sumo Smash.

Honda's strengths are his Sumo Style, His grappling techniques, and his physical strength. He may not look like it but he is built very well and is very strong. His weakness is he is not as mobile or fast. This is why his strategy is to grab and use his strength to compensate for his lack of speed.
