It's been a couple of years since these consoles have released in 2019, but after a pandemic which led to a massive shortage in microchips needed to manufacture electronic goods, it has been exceedingly difficult to get your hands on one of these systems over the past couple of years. Luckily, those problems started going away at the end of last year, where stock of both the PS5 and Xbox Series X was actually more in line with high selling years for consoles that we've seen in the past, and while it's not totally remedied yet, things are good enough for the people who were dying to buy one are now able to purchase them.

I know Xbox Series X stock was far better than PS5 stock throughout the past year, but they've both been pretty scarce in my area until very recently.

So, are you interested in buying a 9th generation console? Have you had one for a few years now?

I don't really intend on buying one until there's a decent enough amount of exclusive titles that I'm very interested in. They're way too expensive this time around to want a console just for a small handful of titles. Maybe I'll get one towards the midpoint to ending of the lifecycle.

There's been nothing released yet where I'm dying to have one honestly the only thing I can think of that I'd even wanna play currently when it releases would be the 2nd part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake which the name of escapes me but so far I've not really been impressed by the PS5 or Xbox Series X but I'm sure someday down the line I'll have a reason to own one.

I never had a chance to get one that was for myself. Right at the start when the PS5 first came out I ended up buying a few that were for the main purposes of giving away for social media stuff or selling to people that were unable to get one. Then when it was time for me to get one for myself was when all the chaos happened with no stores having any for months at a time. Eventually I made a deal with my roommate where we would split the cost for one for the house but it took so long that we just gave up on it. Eventually I just didn't care anymore and started pushing more and more attention onto my Switch and just left Playstation alone altogether.

While I don't really have an interest in either of the consoles, I mainly play PC games anyway, I have yet to even see one in person. I know a couple people who wanted the PS5 but eventually decided to settle for the PS4 instead, since the game libraries are practically the same. While I think it would be fun to get back into console gaming, I just cant do it with the current price tag attached to it. I miss the days when console releases were a few hundred dollars, not 500+ if you can even get one at MSRP.

I don't have any. I guess I'm just old school. I am not interested in Play Station 5 or even the new Xbox. I like the old game systems such as the Atari, NES, SNES, Sega, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, N64, Playstaion I and II. I have played a few games on the newer systems from my friends that have had them. But I'm just not interested. Will I get one in a few years from now? The answer probably not I just do not have an interest.

I don't have of those consoles. Not interested in them, i play primarily on PC. Can't stand peasantry! (i'm jk btw)

Honestly i haven't played on consoles for years. Though lately its been questionable to suggest people to get into pc gaming since GPU prices are getting out of hand (thanks Nvidia).

I have a Series S. It's the tiny and lower end digital only version of the Series X. I've been pretty pleased with my purchase. Seeing as I mostly use it to play older games, the lower specs have never bothered me but it's nice to have the option if I do want to pick something up. Together with a game pass subscription it's pretty good value for money.
