What's an obscure game or one that's generally unheard of that you think is really good and worth playing?

For me, it's Light Fairytale for either Switch or PS4. It's a very short game because each game is a short chapter but the visuals of the game look fantastic and I think more people should be playing it just for the animation and art style.

Now hear me out guys I think everyone should play Chicken Invaders 2 it's this great game where you get to kill chickens! I guess I should probably explain it better huh? Basically, it's Space Invaders but the invaders are chickens and I just think it's an addictive game to master and play through the waves of chickens, that being said I don't have much of an opinion on any of the games after 2 since I'm yet to sit down and kill the chickens in those games but it's on my bucket list of things to do.

Hear me out when I say Bust A Groove 2 is slept on. If you like rhythm games and whacky anime inspired characters… this is the game for you. It’s considered an obscure game due to low sales and how it’s worth so much these days. The experience is the music and it’s so fun to play.

Just stick with Becerra's Rhythm games. I feel like the game Cytus has become obscure. It used to be pretty popular, and now when I try to see if anyone is playing, it is like the same few people.

It was originally a mobile game and it is kinda like OSU! but not as free as OSU! Mainly due to the fact you can only play the songs that come with the game, but in my opinion, they are really good and help improve your reaction times on harder difficulties.

pokemon x : About a year ago I was thinking about getting Cyrus Alpha for the Switch because GameStop and Best Buy both had copies for around $40 but I didn't because it looked too hard and then it just disappeared. I haven't seen a single copy in stores since last year and I completely forgot it existed until now.

Cool Spot for Sega Genesis. It's got a few flaws but it's a solid mascot-platformer featuring a totally radical protagonist. Even though it's got some slow, mazelike, and/or leap-of-faith-heavy levels, they're always followed up by a straightforward and easy one, and there are only two or three bad apples among about seven other great levels. I played it for the first time recently and had a blast.

Some of my favorites are in the Epic Battle Fantasy series. They aren't perfect (because a perfect game doesn't exist) but still pretty fun and challenging RPGs with humorous writing.

Metal Wolf Chaos is a long forgotten Xbox original game released in Japan only near the end of the console's lifecycle. (well that explains that)

It's a mech fighting game developed by From Software, and while they've become known for Elden Ring, Souls, and Armored Core, this game was like a wacky combination between a mech arcade title and a parody of Metal Gear Solid, I think. Devolver Digital released an HD version called Metal Wolf Chaos XD on consoles and Steam.

You play as the president. The vice president is evil and turned the military and mechs against you. Strap into your mech and take America back!

This game has a lot of funny dialogue, mostly in scenes where we're reminded the guy firing railgun or rocket launchers at train cars is the President of the United States, luckily the game hilariously reminds you in each cutscene. It's such a gem.

Otherwise, 3D Dot Game Heroes is an incredible Zeldalike, and Muramasa: The Demon Blade is an amazing side scrolling hack and slash with nice art.

I have a few games. These games may have been heard of, but have been forgotten about as the years have gone by. Some may not even be heard off for people born after the year 2000.

For me one is Stone Protectors for SNES. This game came out around 1993/1994. It is a beat em up type of game. For those that do not know in the early to mid 1990's. Toy makers were trying to make troll dolls appealing to boys. There was the Battle Troll line. Then the Stone Protectors. The Stone Protectors were also based off some of the anti rock movements in the early 1990's. The Stone Protectors are trolls that protect stones. They get pulled into a world that is ran by the anti rock leader called Zork. Zork rules the land with an iron fist he only wants classical music. The other residents like rock music so they rebel. The Stone Protectors try to liberate these areas from Zork's Army.

In the game the player can choose to play as one of the 5 Stone Protectors. The goal is to beat up the bad guys as the game scrolls on. It plays similar to Streets of Rage 2.

Its a good game but has been forgotten about. In fact, it is not even heard of among people born after 2000. I liked this game and would have liked to have seen it hang around.

Army games are now common. Games were you fight against machines is now common. But one of the earlier games of such character came out in 1999. The game was Tiny Tank. Tiny Tank is a mascot for a World Organization that lobbies for the nations to adopt. The new idea is machines will fight the wars so people would no longer have to die. However the machines were fitted with live ammo. They then started to make their own choices. Basically they turn on the world. Tiny is originally destroyed but is able to generate it takes him 80-100 years to. The player plays as Tiny Tank to stop the New Order now ran by machines to save the last humans and environment.

Okay Tiny Tank was a game that did okay for a few months then it lost fanfare. The game is hardly even mentioned. In fact I would say a lot of people do not even know about it. Does the game have some flaws yes it can get glitchy at times. However, the game is really cool and really deserved better. It was really one of the first games of its kind (NOT saying it was the first ) a lot of army games used some of the same designs.

Finally, Bust a Move 99. This is a Puzzle Game. It is really remake of Bust a Move 3. Bust a Move 3 was a bubble busting puzzle game that was common in arcades and Bowling Lanes. The makers remade the game and stuck in 99. They also added some more characters for the player to play as. I had this game and really enjoyed it. But, after 1999 the game was never heard of that much. Even if it is a rebrand its still a good game.
