That I randomly stumbled upon this website again and that the layout looks even worse, it's just way too cluttered.
I'm sure that you can get used to it but hey this is just my silly opinion.

You know I can't remember entirely what my reaction was when the layout was last changed but I remember not liking it as much as the last one but now I can't even remember the last one at all so I definitely did get used to it. I will say your not the first one to have that opinion at all I've seen people say that either the site looks to retro (when that's the whole point) or that it's cluttered for years. I guess my thing with it is I don't know how you could make it look better really there's so many different features on the site and I'm definitely no web designer but I just can't think of a way to make it less cluttered.

I love retro website designs but sometimes mixing in some modern elements and removing elements that look ugly could make the website more appealing to new users.

You don't need to go full web 2.0 modernist hellscape it's all about finding the right balance.

As SonicOlmstead pointed out, the site is meant to look retro since it is mostly focused on retro games. It can be hard to get used to, but I don't find the site that hard to navigate. I returned here a little over a year ago and had to adjust to how different the site was, but it didn't take long.

I dunno when or if it even happened, but I kinda don't mind the weirdly nostalgic and retro look of the current website. It gives the website a very unique feel that isn't quite replicated on other places.

It does take a *little* bit of getting used to, but it's hardly like the website as is right now obfuscate any key features or make anything hard to find, but I will say the ads not always loading is kinda weird? I'll see 'content coming soon' on some pages and think it's a page under construction when in reality the content is just below the ads. Awkward but you get used to it fast.
