I want to sorta "relaunch" my Patreon page by offering a ton of new perks. You can find a list of my current persk on my Patreon page here:
https://www.patreon.com/DavidAuchampach

One of my ideas for a perk, probably at the $10 tier, is access to more games. The games that you guys see on the site aren't all of the games I have on the servers and I can very easily add plenty more with very little time needed if they're not each given a game page. Additionally, each game would list all of the versions we have available that you can select from.

The different versions of a game including:
-Different countries
-Different revisions
-Prototypes
-Additional Rom Hacks
-Other various versions

What do you guys think of this? Would this be an incentive that could help?

Also, what are your ideas? The more ideas we can get, the better. As long as the idea is realistic and doable.

Davideo7 : Probably gonna add this idea to the not doable list..but here it goes nothing... how about offering access to games and systems not available to regular vizzed members or not on vizzed entirely, like for example nintendo DS games especially since these patron members would be financially contributing to vizzed.

But in general for ideas I'd say focus heavy on giving patrons exclusive access to games and features that normal members(normal, trusted, elite, etc.) can't do at all make it worth there wild to contribute money each month afterall they are giving actual cash for basic or bare minimum rewards that you could get just by being a trusted or an elite vizzed member.

With that said David you really should focus heavily on the RGR side of the site it's your bread and butter the cash cow of the site. With the RGR it should've been prioritized first to fix and get back to how it was by fixing the screenshots adder and video adder. Think about all the lost revenue from no monetized youtube videos being uploaded, Vized has so much potential to be a house hold name in the retro gaming community if your advertising and product was just tweaked a little bit. But with Vizzed alot of the activity was never in the site forums it was always the RGR and so naturally your perks with paying patrons should be in the RGR and give them more of a influence and idea on what there money is going towards. I mean you could make alot of money with the vizzed youtube channel depending on how long the gameplay videos are and how many followers and views are watching, Vizzed has alot of potential it just hasn't had a focused vision on where it want's to go or what type of site it wants to be.

Divine Aurora : That'd be kinda costly on bandwidth and disk space but if the patreon pledges covered the cost, I'd consider it.

I'd have to figure out a way to make them playable on Vizzed. The RGR Plugin wouldn't be capable of playing them. NeptuneJS does support it and I wonder if I could get it to work with RetroArch also.

Keep in mind that I still wouldn't be able to add any 1st party Nintendo games, which makes up a good portion of all the really good DS games. But still, the system had I think 1000s of games so there would still be a lot to choose from. I think I'd maybe make it available to users who are pledging $10 a month.

The more I think about this idea, the more I like it actually. If I could get enough people interested and pledging, I would definitely do it. I think the added cost of having DS on the site would probably be $50+ extra a month, possibly more, so I'd need to have at least $50 extra worth of backers a month. And I could add another perk that if I have a certain number of backers each month, I'd add a certain number of DS games. So for example, for every $100 worth of backers I have each month, I'd add an additional 25 DS games to the RGR.

I've prioritized the RGR more than the community for quite a few years now and that focus on the RGR has made me distant. I really wanted to prioritize the community for once, in 2021. With that being said, I still want to get things fixed around the site and I agree with the YouTube stuff. YouTube is something I've wanted to do more of for a while now so that'd be a great opportunity to get the YouTube uploading working again. I really want to make that happen sometime this month.

It would be super sketchy, but you could offer restored access to the Nintendo games for just those users. Might be a risk, but the bulk of users probably wouldn't see it. If that were affordable enough of a tier, I'm sure it'd get a decent number of pledgers. Likely not a real candidate for a Patreon reward, but after I saw you manage to sell one of those massive external hard drives, it made me think about how lucrative that is.

vizzy900 : Rom hacks of Nintendo 1st party games are still illegal. I can't put those up.

So a rom repository specifically for patrons? Not a bad idea.
