E is for Electabuzz. Here's some info from Bulbapedia:

-Electabuzz is one of five Pokémon that initially did not evolve into or from another Pokémon, but now is part of a three-stage evolutionary line (the other four being Chansey, Magmar, Porygon, and Roselia).
-Electabuzz and Elekid share the same species name with Zapdos. They are all known as Electric Pokémon.
-Magmar and Electabuzz seem to be counterparts; both evolve in a very similar way (first at level 30, then after being traded holding an "-izer" item), and both are typically exclusive to one version of a pair of games. They also learn all their moves at the same levels, such as Fire Punch and ThunderPunch at Level 28. They even have the same special move when purified from Pokémon XD: Follow Me.
-Electabuzz is the only member of its family not to have some physical relation to an AC power unit. Elekid's head is shaped like a power plug while Electivire's back patterns look like a power socket.
-It is possible to obtain an Electabuzz at levels 15-18 on route 10 in generations II and IV. This is seemingly impossible since Electabuzz evolves from Elekid at level 30. This also means that an Electivire can be obtained as low as level 15

Name origin

Igglybuff's name rhymes with Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff. Its Japanese name is a variation on Purin, the Japanese word for pudding, or the addition of an extra pu to Jigglypuff's Japanese name – a combination of 風船 fūsen, balloon, and 膨れる fukureru, to expand or inflate.

An Igglybuff stars as the player character in the special episode Igglybuff the Prodigy. This Igglybuff is the unevolved Guildmaster Wigglytuff from the main story.

Physiology

Igglybuff is a small, bipedal balloon-like animal that is pink all over. It has a rounded tuft of hair on top of its head, a small swirl-like pattern on its forehead, and red eyes in contrast to the teal eyes of its later evolutions. Igglybuff have small, stubby limbs.

Jynx!
* Despite being a part Psychic-type, it can't learn a single Psychic-type move by leveling-up.
o It's pre-evolution Smoochum however, can.
* Before Generation IV, Jynx was the only Ice-type Pokémon that was able to learn Ice Punch by leveling up.
* Jynx is one of the few Pokémon who naturally learn a move in a game in one generation, but then never learn it again in another generation; in this case, the move is Thrash, in Generation I.
* Jynx and her pre-evolution, Smoochum, are the only Pokémon that learn Avalanche by leveling up.
* Jynx, together with her pre-evolution Smoochum, are the only Pokémon that have the combination Ice/Psychic.
* Jynx's Defense stat is the lowest of all fully evolved Ice-types.
* Until the introduction of Glaceon in Generation IV, Jynx had the highest Special Attack of all Ice Pokémon.

However this contradicts several other forms of canon, such as the Pokémon anime and various manga works where Pokémon are able to understand human speech, especially evident by Team Rocket's Meowth.
* In Generation I, Jynx is the only Ice-type Pokémon that is not weak to Electric, since it is the only Ice-type Pokémon in those games that is not also Water or Flying.
* It should be noted that Jynx and Hypno have similar cries in the games, Jynx's is slower and lacks the extra noise at the end while Hypno's sounds slightly sped up and has a slight crashing sound at the end.

Controversy
Jynx originally bore a striking, but possibly coincidental, resemblance to entertainers in blackface. A strong case can be made for Jynx being a parody of or homage to the Japanese Ganguro and Yamanba fashion trends, which were extremely popular when Pokémon was first released, but it can't be denied that blackface-influenced characters have appeared elsewhere in anime and manga - examples can be found near the beginning of Osamu Tezuka's early graphic novel, Metropolis and also can be found with Dragon Ball Z's Mr. Popo.

As Pokémon became more popular in the US, this perceived similarity to a racist image from America's past offended some. In particular, it had offended children's book author Carole Boston Weatherford, who accused Jynx of being a racist stereotype in an article titled "Politically Incorrect Pokémon" in the magazine Black World Today, shortly after the anime episode Holiday Hi-Jynx aired. Episodes that contained Jynx in its original design were left unaired outside of Japan, including EP250 and portions of All Things Bright and Beautifly.

In response to this controversy, Nintendo changed Jynx's hands from dark blue to purple and its face from black to purple in Pokémon games, including in the English and international versions of Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Jynx has appeared since using its new design with no problems. However, in the Who's That Pokémon? section of It's Mr. Mime Time, Jynx appears with its original colorings.

K is for Kanghaskan!


* It should be noted that the Glitch Pokémon 'M evolves into Kangaskhan. This is due to Kangaskhan's position in the game's internal programming, and is also why 'M (among other Glitch Pokémon) can also evolve into Rhydon.
* Kangaskhan is the last non-legendary Pokémon in the Fiore Browser.
* Kangaskhan is the only Pokémon that isn't a Dragon-type that learns Outrage via level-up.
* Interestingly, even with the advent of breeding and Baby Pokémon, the Baby Kangaskhan has yet to be made into a separate Pokémon, and as a result, all Kangaskhan are born with a baby already in its pouch.
* This is similar to what happens when a Chansey/Blissey breeds (without holding a Luck Incense), as the offspring will have an egg, already in its pouch.

Some fun facts:

* Metagross has the second highest base stat average of all non-legendary Pokémon, the first being Slaking. However, it is tied with the four other pseudo-legendary evolutions. Metagross is also tied with many other legendaries for base stat average, including Mew, Celebi, Deoxys, Latios and Latias.
* Metagross is the only pseudo-legendary that does not have a 4× weakness.
* Metagross evolves from its pre-evolution the earliest of all pseudo-legendary Pokémon.
* Metagross is the only pseudo-legendary that cannot learn any Dragon-type moves.

O is for Onix. Here's some info.

-In Generation I, Onix was the longest Pokémon, but in Generation II, it was dropped to second place by its evolution Steelix. When Wailord was introduced in Generation III, it became the third longest.
-Onix is the largest Pokémon that evolves once.
-By being under the ownership of Bruno in Generation II, Onix is one of the few unevolved Pokémon that can evolve in the same generation as that of the Elite Four member to whom it belongs, the others being Dragonair, Shelgon, Haunter, and Sealeo. However, it's the only one where the Elite Four member doesn't own its evolved form.
-Onix, along with its evolved form, are the only non-Dragon-type Pokémon to learn DragonBreath by leveling up.
-Of all the Pokémon that can evolve, Onix has the highest base Defense.
-Onix is the largest Pokémon that can legally hatch from an egg.
-Onix and Swablu are the only dual-typed Pokémon that have their primary type change during evolution.

They are loners, but are also very loyal Pokemon.
Scyther is similar in many ways to both dragons and the praying mantis, which it's design was partly based off.
