I was curious if anyone here has tried developing their own games and how that has worked out for you.

I have recently been learning to code with Unity to try and design my own chess-like game. There is a lot I do not know but I have a good time trying to get things to work bit by bit!

I've tried it before with hacks, and I liked it but I was never any good at it. I much rather prefer doing hacks than my own original games though because I enjoy taking something that I love and twisting it into something that I think is better.

There was one Pokemon hack that I tried my hand at back in like 2014 but it was way too ambitious and I ended up giving up.
