Hey, it's me. Formerly known as jmc1097, stopping here for the first time in a couple years or so? It's been a while. Was feeling nostalgic so I decided to stop here again, it seems like Vizzed has become pretty dead now though which is unfortunate! Anyway, hello to anyone new who doesn't know me that reads this, and hello to whoever of my old friends on here are still active on the site.

Welcome back! I don't particularly remember your name but that's fine, things can change. Vizzed, like any non mainstream forum, has been slowly dying off in terms of activity. Still community is generally really nice, though you'll be better off joining our discord server to get to know people.

Welcome back to vizzed! It is great to see so many returning members even if some of them decide to just pop in for a little bit. So much nostalgia as I think back to my days of posting up a storm constantly XD

Have fun getting used to the site again! Yeah it's not as active but there's still plenty of cool threads I've come across.

legacyme3 : Hey leggy. I assume you have kept the Droog Embassy's legacy alive in my absence, hahahaha. Man it seems like you're pretty much the only person from back then still around on here. It's like getting shipped off to fight in a war only to return home and find that your hometown has been bombed and your friends and family are now all dead. Okay maybe not that extreme of an example, but you get my point. Everyone is missing!

Furret : Thank you, thank you. You probably don't remember me because my heyday on here was back in like 2010-2011. It's crazy to think it was over a decade ago now. Got permabanned in early 2011 because I was an immature kid obsessed with trolling, returned in 2012, and have been back sporadically ever since.

Pacman+Mariofan : Yeah what's the deal with that anyway, as in why the site's not so active anymore? Just people moving on to better emulation options for games and other forums I assume? I remember this place was truly revolutionary back in the day, I had never seen anything like it, but nowadays with advances in emulation and RetroArch and that kind of stuff it seems sites like this are becoming increasingly obsolete. Kinda sad...

Christ... not a name I thought I'd ever see again. I guess I missed the last time you came back though, since it seems it's not the first time.

I'm nearly positive you don't remember me since 2010/2011 I wasn't really terribly active, but I used to go by Galacta. I really only remember your name more than anything else, but it's been so many years that any personality that I could remember probably wouldn't be relevant now anyways.

I'm glad to see you return regardless.

Minuano : Hahahaha I actually do remember you! I'm not sure if we ever interacted much but yeah the Galacta name definitely sounds familiar. It's interesting how I can remember minute details like that but can hardly recount what I ate for breakfast yesterday...

Alex still comes by here from time to time. He's not super active, but he's still around-ish.

Zamiel is being a memelord on Facebook, mostly. I don't actually know what he does or who he is anymore, but I see him post stuff there from time to time. I know he went on to college, but I'm not sure what for, or what he's doing anymore.

Big fat cat (or Diem) is... doing something. I honestly stopped keeping in touch with him several years ago, because he just changed so dramatically that I could no longer really get along with him. I'm hoping he's well, but based on what I saw from him before I cut contact off, I'm not sure he is.

the_casualty, aka Nksor is probably the person from back then with his life most together. He went off to college. I'm pretty sure he does something with computers. He always did like them. I haven't spoken with him in too long, and I just don't really have the desire to go that far out of my way when we're not really involved with each other's lives anymore. Used to be best buds, now we aren't.

I have no idea whatever happened to SilverMaestro, Robert, vizwiz, Choko, metal, or the other less notable members of that time period. They've vanished from Vizzed, and I wasn't really friends with them outside of it, so I've completely lost touch with them.

About the only member of Vizzed that was active at the same time as us that I really stay in contact with anymore was crazycatpup, we still talk from time to time, although it is never about Vizzed. I also talk to geeo, but he predates us, so he doesn't really count.

In general, I've cut off contact from a lot of members of our old group. Some fell in with a crowd I didn't want to get involved with. Some of them just vanished from Vizzed entirely. Some of them are still around (like penny) but I've just never been terribly close to them.

I mostly stick around out of nostalgia, because I'm curious about who will walk back through that door, and I kind of feel like it's my duty to outlast the rest of the old guard. I'm a familiar face who everyone will have known, so my hope is that I'll get people to stick around for at least a little while.

As for what's been going on with me... I moved on from forums in general in 2014 or so. Once I stepped down from being the head honcho, I was just burnt out, and wanted nothing to do with the workload I'd previously experienced. Having spent so long posting, I found that I had nothing else I wanted to do. I ended up moving across the country, with my then girlfriend, in the pursuit of happiness. With wanderlust in my heart, I discovered a world I never thought existed. I spent three years in California, before moving back to the northeast, now engaged, and with a college degree. I got a job in the medical field and never looked back. Fast forward to about a year ago, and I now live in Tennessee, and work somewhere I consider a dream job. I'm now married (and have been for two years almost) and making enough money to consider myself moderately wealthy compared to my peers.

I know that's a lot, but to me, it feels like nothing. It's been a long decade, but also a short one.

Yo, haven't seen you in awhile. I'm pretty sure I used to see you around all the time, even though I don't recall us ever interacting much. It's really nice to see you here. Most of the vets who are still around just lurk on Discord, which makes it hard to spot them when they're not on the server. Drag00n and Galacta are still here though, Alex was posting awhile back, but he didn't get enough intellectual stimulation from these boards, that and life gets in the way, so he's not really active.

I mean I get it, obviously one can't expect people to remain active on a forum for a decade straight but it's depressing to see how so many people ultimately just faded into the aether. Silvermaestro and Robert in particular, I definitely considered you, Alex, and them to be among my closest friends on here. It's good to know Alex still comes around every now and then, I think I used to have him added on FB but my account got deleted ages ago and I can't seem to find him anymore on there so yeah lol. Geeo I remember butting heads with quite often back in the day but I don't even remember why lol. I actually don't remember what I did to get myself permabanned hahahaha I just know that it happened. Regardless, I hope he is doing well. By the way do you happen to know what happened with MegaRevolution? Feel free to just tell me in PM or whatever if you know hahaha but I vaguely remember him having it out with several people and leaving and I just saw that his gender on here is female, did he become trans or something? Wild either way, I considered him a friend too - seems he's another one gone....

As for me I guess I could say I'm doing alright, better since my last visit on here that's for sure. Kind of in limbo at the moment, I graduated college in January and was about to start looking for jobs until corona hit and delayed that process. Now that things are starting to open up again here I'm officially starting up the job hunt but it's definitely something that's giving me anxiety hahaha, just knowing how truly uncertain the future is at this point. Ultimately my goal is to move to Poland, I'm dating a girl who lives there now and even if things end up not working out between us I still plan to go there eventually. I always wanted to leave the US to go to Europe or Latin America and I think Poland is my best bet. Might be wishful thinking but I'm aiming to at least visit there within a year or so. Right now I basically just spend my time reading, playing video games (like the olden days...) and studying/discussing law, politics, philosophy, occultism, etc.

pennylessz : Man I remember you too! Good to see that you're also still around LOL. It's so interesting to see how the layout of the site has remained pretty much the same for all this time...which I'm frankly happy about since so many sites completely change their layouts for no reason (coughcoughFacebookcoughcough), almost always making themselves worse in the process. Glad to see Vizzed didn't go through that, even if there's less activity here now.

With mega, it's not really my story to tell. I would probably get the story wrong anyway. All I really have to say is the last I knew, Mega was now going by "she" instead, and that's pretty much all I have to say. We aren't close, and haven't spoken to each other in like 6 or 7 years. The last time we spoke, they told me to drop dead about a hundred times, because of some drama issue they had with me. I presume they are happier, because they could not have been more miserable than they were just before we stopped communicating.

Wish you luck with Poland. It's a place I want to go myself, largely because that's a huge part of my ancestry. I want to see where I come from, from an ancestral standpoint. You definitely would have more knowledge than me when it comes to law and politics, because neither of those are things that interest me. If I'm not playing a game, I'm studying something related to the medical world.

NordicWarrior : There are a lot of reasons why it's not as active, the biggest reason I think being that Nintendo shut down all the retro games here. Plus I think people are much more interested in social media than forums now.
