We all know the infamous ones - Superman 64, Bubsy 3D, ET... but how many of us have ever really *played* any of these? In this thread I want to put an emphasis on personal experience. What is the worst video game that you have ever ACTUALLY PLAYED? A game with a bunch of holes in it, unfinished, or you simply just didn't enjoy it at all.

As someone who actually enjoys bad-to-the-point-of-being-funny games, my pick isn't actually an objectively bad game. I mean s***, I enjoyed BAD RATS just off the basis of how ridiculous it was lmao. Rather, my bigger issue with this game is how it was handled compared to its predecessor.

I really, genuinely hate Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. It's basically just Xenoverse 1 with a few minor changes, plus about a million DLC packs. The story is the EXACT same except for the last 30 minutes. This is a criticism that applies to 90% of DBZ games, except Xenoverse actually has the opportunity to be much different and it just doesn't take it. After that, it's just buy the DLC packs or die. Although they're not in Sims 4 territory ($4000+), they have released a RIDICULOUS amount of DLC for this game - and they STILL are. My opinion on DLC is very long-winded, but TL;DR I think it's fine if it's fairly priced and doesn't add any core story elements - like, extra characters for a fighting game are fine. The thing is that characters in this game are INCREDIBLY simple, yet they charge almost more than Smash or, more appropriately, FighterZ does for their characters, despite the fact that the latter two games gives you MUCH more for your purchase. In the end I think the game is just a giant cash-grab - kudos to you if you enjoy it, but I simply can't.

Keep in mind we all have different opinions... don't go disliking someone's post because they mentioned a game you like. Unless they were an a**h*** about it. Then we'll all clown them together.

Minuano : See my opinion on Xenoverse 2 is kinda complicated cause for me they took an alright at best game in the first Xenoverse and made it actually enjoyable a lot of the time but it's also like I only enjoyed it as much as I did because I played it way more with friends then I ever did the first one I hated the first one by the end of me playing it which I guess I ended up hating some of 2 afterwards I've not touched it this year except maybe when I wrote my review for it, I enjoy some of the dlc packs but some of them the game just doesn't need and there's definitely too many by now for sure. I almost forgot to say but the story is by far the most disappointing bit of the game for me after the first xenoverse I was like oh boy I can't wait to see what inventive things they do with it this time and then they did nothing pretty much.

I have a grudge with a few games one of which being Sonic Lost World on 3ds I swear it is by far the worst Sonic game I've ever played through (for the record I have beat 06 all the way through at least 3 times maybe 4) it's starts out fine enough but as you go on it justs keeps getting more and more stupid till the levels take like 20 mins to beat and with it being on the 3ds you can get hand cramps and I don't even wanna start talking about some of the stupid level design. While I know I'm forgetting probably a lot of games the other one that's currently coming to mind is Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain Of Memories I find the card combat not enjoyable in the slightest last year I finally finished the game it was a long time coming, afterwards I did start riku's story some and you know what? Riku's gameplay actually seemed fun from what I played which is insane to me so maybe the Riku can save the game for me only time will tell.

I think most 1v1 type fighting games are awful.

I grew up with Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter games and they were classics. There have been a lot from the SNES/Genesis days onward that have been awful.

Pit Fighter - almost unplayable
Double Dragon 5 - awful
Clayfighter - I remember playing this with a friend and thinking it was fun. I tried returning to it on an emulator and it is terrible.

I think too many people saw the success of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter and figured a 1v1 fighting game can't be that hard to make. Problem is that so many either had awful controls or no balance and really weren't worth their time.

I watch The Angry Video game Nerd and play a lot of those games just to see how bad they really are... and most really are a sh!tload of f*ck. lol

But the worst game I personally came across was Drake of the 99 Dragons. It looked so cool, like a Crow and Matrix mix, but was terrible. Didn't even get halfway through it.

There's almost two different types of answers here honestly,

1. Literally the worst game people have played.
2. A game that disappointed users the most.

For the prior the worst game i've played is called youtubers life. It's a broken mess that has so little gameplay in it. I still do not know to this day how it got a ps4 release... or why i bought such a awful game to begin with.

for the latter Final fantasy 13 comes to mind.. I didn't like nearly all the characters with Vanille and Snow by far being the most annoying. The gameplay was stupid and the story was stupid too!... the only decent thing is the music honestly.

The worst game that I ever played was easily Cabela’s The Hunt Championship Edition for the Switch. I love hunting games and I have been a big fan of the Cabela games for almost 2 decades so I was originally super excited when I saw this for the Switch at Gamestop for like $20. I picked it up and I ended up trading it in later on because of how bad it was. First of all, the graphics were terrible and the render distance is not what you would expect from a hunting game, where you need to be able to see far ahead.

The controls were also very choppy, it would take a while to get accustomed to moving and when trying to aim, it was nearly impossible because it was never smooth and you would usually miss because of this and you’d have to start from scratch. Plus when it came to the animals, the AI was terrible and it would take like 5 to 10 minutes just to find one, so with everything considered, there was no fun to be had in this game.

I legit wrote a review of this game 3 days shy of a year ago with the title “The Worst Game Ever”

The worst game I've ever played is Pac Pix for the Nintendo DS. I haven't played a lot of bad video games actually, so this one surprised me. It was extremely different from a regular Pac-Man game, and I didn't really care for the gimmicks. I think I got past like 2 levels before deciding it wasn't worth my time. It's still sitting there gathering dust in my "game closet", so I should really consider looking through which games I don't want to keep anymore. Especially since my 3DS is almost completely broken.

The Worst game I have played would have to be Infestation: Survivor Stories.
Mainly because of the constant use of microtransactions when you have to purchase items, and revive characters without having to wait four hours.
