This has got to be one of the games I was looking forward to the most ever which is funny because when I saw the first trailer I didn't think much of it but the game play made me buy into believing in this game and I don't regret it in the slightest.

Graphics 8/10 -
The game does a great job catching the feel of the anime with the art style and it's amazing cut scenes where sometimes I'd argue somethings were done better then the actual show did them itself. The only reason this isn't higher is some of the over world textures can look really sub par for a game releasing in 2020, while not being the worst I've ever seen by far it did catch me off guard a few times.


Sound 9/10 -
I was honestly shocked with how much I liked the Soundtrack in this game it did an amazing job of using different sounding tracks for fights as well as mixing in a lot from the original Japanese score with new remixes that are very faithful and respectful to the original versions of the tracks. This is probably to be expected but the sound captures the attacks from the show perfectly. The only part of sound design holding the game back is the fact of how often certain lines can be repeated during game play in the over world it can become annoying during the 30-40 hours you spend doing so.


Addictive 7/10 -
This part of the game is slightly hard to rate based on the fact that I couldn't put the game down when I started playing until I beat the game. At the same time I can't honestly see myself coming back to the game any time soon. In the end I decided to put it a bit lower then I wanted to but based on how I don't know when I would get around to replaying it from just wanting to I think this is a fair placement.


Story N/A -
I didn't think it was fair to rate the game's story due to how it's just a remake of an anime however if I was to rate it based on how well it adapted said scenes in the anime to the game it would easily be 10/10. The game also takes time to give it's own answers on how somethings that didn't make sense in the show would make sense with context.


Depth 8/10 -
The game is not short on content there's a lot of options to keep yourself busy and I'm not talking only about side quests even the game really goes out of it's way to provide more content to keep you busy. The game has a variety of ways to get food such as hunting and as well fishing! (everyone's favorite activity in video games) Which said food can be used to cook into meals to boost your stats. The game also features a building section to make and upgrade cars to be able to do time trials and the same is true for robo walkers.


Difficulty 6/10 -
I was slightly disappointed with the fact that with no difficulty setting the game felt really easy for a game with Role Playing Game elements the story gives you so much EXP you never will need to grind up for anything so over world encounters have no point and are more an annoyance then a challenge in the game.


Overall 9.1/10 -
I may of been a bit harsh on some the points I made but I was trying to be fair to the game as much as possible, with that being said if your a fan of Dragon Ball I would recommend this game instantly to you it was such an amazing game to be able to play through and making me feel like I was young again thinking of all the times I would run around the house yelling Kamehameha! If your not a fan of Dragon Ball Z and are still interested I would recommend learning the story of Dragon Ball first before playing through this game as it is not covered but the Z part of the story is covered extremely well with this game.

SonicOlmstead : I was just browsing through vizzed and saw this was a review that wasn't featured for its game... However i'm not sure that this is a review for megaman bass 7... I assume it got misplaced but as i don't know what game your actually reviewing (if it is not this one) .. just seems its for one of the many dragon ball games out there...

Anyways let me know if it needs fixing or not and i shall do so amigo.

sonicmcmuffin : huh back when I did this review during TDV it was on the right game for sure so I'm curious how the data base stuff that happened before affected it like this but It's for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot and my favorite arc in Dragon Ball is still the Freeza saga tho that's mostly nostalgia cause I actually dislike most of the arc.

Very nice review! It's nice to see a review for a game that came out so recently. It was funny to see how much you disliked about the overworld since I'm never expecting to see an overworld be bad/pointless in a game. XD
