This is a reference thread for what's considered sandwich posting.

What is sandwich posting? The easiest way to answer this is through example.

Let's say I post, someone replies, then I reply.

You should be able to sandwich once or twice before it's considered excessive. Said example would be...

I would prefer not to see anymore than what I call a, "Double decker sandwich." Where one person posts three times, and the respondent posts twice. This can be overlooked, but if you do it all over the place, it won't be.

The polite and preferred approach to posting is the old way of letting a couple others reply before posting again. I call this, "Holding the door."
