So for identity reasons the 2 people I mention by name will instead be called John and the other will be called Sarah.

So last year at diabetes camp the first full day we got paired up with the girls cabin of the same age (normal thing we do every year really) and within the first minute this girl walks up to me grabs my hand from my side to shake it and says "Hi my name's Sarah" So I was oh hi and such. So we were just talking getting to know each other and out of nowhere she gets real upset and says "My ex died 6 months ago we were engaged for 4 years" keeping in mind that for some reason shes 15 but paired with the group anyway. So that threw me all off but like she started calming down some and started saying how she had been in a abusive relationship ever since, then she started asking for advice on how to get him to understand her diabetes. so I told her one if he's abusive don't stay with him and then two I gave her some advice about how to get him to understand and what she goes through. Then she asked me to go to the dance with her as friends and I already had decided if anyone asked me to it as friends I would go to be nice so I accepted. The next night when we were walking a ton she talked about how she had a bad knee and was using my shoulder to help walk and all I could think was that I couldn't tell if my innocence was being taken advantage of which looking back it probably was cause when we got in trouble and I walked in the front of the group she was fine. She also wrote me a letter and every I in it was dotted with a heart and the she said "I can't wait to go to the dance with you as friends" kinda gave odd vibes but I didn't have time to question it to much. So then the next night were sitting out activities cause I had a infected toe that I wasn't suppose to get wet and they were doing water games so rip me and she sat out cause of her bad knee so we were sitting there talking and then my friend John walks up and was talking about the girl he went to the dance with last year and how he wanted to go with her again and be less awkward so the three of us talked about it for a min then he went back to doing whatever and she went to use the restroom. When she came back I noticed she took the girl John liked with her so I say hey you didn't say anything to her about John did you? She looks at me and says yeah why? So I was like what did you say! and she looks at me a minute and says I told her John totally has the hots for her and she said she didn't like him back at all. So I go tell john about this and he's furious which I don't blame him and our whole cabin was close so we all were ticked at Sarah so we avoided her the whole next day. Then Friday morning the day of the dance we wake up and there's a letter for John so he reads it and it says "I know I shouldn't be saying this I know you don't feel the same way back I know how hard it is to keep your feelings for someone hidden cause I've been doing it all week but here's my number call me sometime -Sarah" The whole cabin was lost cause we thought she liked me all week between her leaning on my shoulder stealing my hat for days and other stuff but then she says she likes John? So we had a meeting in the cabin about it and for some reason they thought it was a good idea for John to date her because I didn't tell them about her ex and her abusive relationship and they thought she was trying to be in a good relationship. John goes and talks to her and they were going to go to the dance together which got me out of it first time I had a date to the dance I spent all week trying to get out of it xD anyway later at the pool I explain how we all thought she liked me not John and she said "oh I do like you I'm just trying to be respectful of your relationship" which she had not been at all during the week anyway to cut a longer part short after camp she broke up with John once and then got back together and broke up with him a day later for "school issues" then a day later sent him a bunch of pictures of her with this new guy. That is as mrfe would call the Red flag story.

You've told me this story on discord before and it still amazes me because it sounds like a scene from like a manga or something. I mean the red flags were so painfully obvious that it amazes me how far this managed to go.
