What do you think? Do you think Mega Man is just a more modern Pinnichio? I mean think about it, he resembles a boy inside of a robot, that lives similar life pattern according to Pinnichios, okay sure Pinnichio wasnt out fighting people and being as extraordinary a hero as Mega Man is built up to be, but they fit the same image...Well thats my opinion, now whats yours?

What the?! Well, I guess if, in Mega Man 11, he runs away from Dr. Light, realizes he has a talking cricket following him, and ends up making his nose grow huge because he starts lying... oh, and he and Dr. Light somehow end up in a whale, maybe it was Wily's doing and that's where you have to fight him or something... yeah, if they added that in MM 11, then he would seem like a modern Pinocchio .

You're right, thinking about it he really does seem like a modern day Pinocchio. His creation is quite similar to that of Pinnochio, and he actually kinda seems to 'fit his match'. So yeah, he is really like a modern day Pinocchio.

Yeah... I don't think so. Megaman wasn't made to be a child for Dr Light, there isn't much in the way that mentions he wants to be "real" as far as I know, and really those are the two things that one would say that define Pinnochio.
Oh, and Megaman isn't made of wood (except if he has absorbed Woodmans powers)

Well... he didn't use to be a combat robot... but considering the fact that he is one now, whatever he was before, I don't think he's a modern Pinocchio anymore. Besides, as DH said, I haven't seen anything to suggest that Mega Man wants to be human.

Before I made this thread I didn't realize there was a Mega Man episode where he wanted to be a human but Dr.Wiley tricks him and puts a chip in his head so he can control Mega Man. Thats one reference that "maybe" he does want to be human. But here's another point I'll make, in Pinnochio, his creator was looked at as a father and was called one by Pinnochio. In the first Mega Man, Dr.Light creates Mega Man and Mega Man calls him father. Dr.Light and Pinnochio's creator are viewed in the same image. Now I know in the next episodes Mega Man calls him Dr.Light but theres always Dr.Light's references on how he's basically a father to Mega Man. Just a little more food for thought...
