What are your thoughts on Snapchat Streaks? Do you like them? Hate them? How many streaks do you have on Snapchat? What is your longest streak? What kind of people do you generally start streaks with?

I used to think Snapchat streaks were the dumbest thing ever, but I got dragged into doing them when a girl I had just met tried to start a streak with me. I thought it would seem rude if I send her streaks back, so I started a streak with her. I then started a streak with a few of my friends, because I thought sending "streaks" to one person was a little weird lol. Now I have streaks with 9 people, all of which are pretty close friends of mine.

One of my friend probably has close to 100 streaks. He starts streaks with everyone, especially girls. He uses it as a way to start flirting with them, and it general it has worked out pretty well for him. Personally I think having that many streaks is just annoying, his phone has to be buzzing all day.

I'm also pretty terrible at maintaining streaks, and I've gotten yelled at multiple times by my friends (mostly female friends, the guys don't seem to care nearly as much) for losing streaks. Apparently that's a big deal, I don't know.

My longest streak is 549 days with my best friend, but it would be closer to 800 if I didn't break it like three times.

I despise them. With all of my heart and soul. Everytime, people send me streaks just for the numbers on their phone. They don't really want to actually interact with you nah they just want the numbers. It's annoying to me and I tell the other person to stop messaging me unless they actually want to interact with me. Not sending me a picture of your damn wall for no reason. 

Lexatom : Yeah I totally get that. That was my point too, and I still kind of agree with it. But if other people want to start a streak with me, I'm not gonna say no. It takes like two seconds, so it's not a huge deal. But you are right.

So pretty much I used to do streaks just because I actually did snap those people everyday so the streak came naturally, it just came to the point where I lost a 3 year streak where I learned I was over it and found them annoying lmao. Now I just do them for a higher score
