I'm finally here. After all this time, I made it to 25,000 posts. (It's this one by the way). I would have probably never made it if it wasn't for the TDV and surge in activity. It's been by far the slowest 5,000 posts of my life. I made my 20,000th post in April 2016, so it's been 32 months to make 5,000 posts. In contrast, my first 20,000 posts only took 31 months.
In addition to 25,000 total posts, I'm also closing in on 1,000 for the month. In fact I might be able to pass 1,000 by the middle of the month if there's enough activity. The last time I made 1,000 posts in a month was in January 2016, A solid 3 years ago. It's going to be fun seeing how high up I can go on my personal leaderboard for most posts in a month.
As for total posts, I'm slowly making my way towards leggy and geeo. I'm only 1,500 posts behind Leggy so I might be able to pass him within a few months. Geeo will be a bit tougher to pass since he's up by almost 4,000 posts and is pretty active. But maybe I can pass him by the summer of 2020. As for when I'll pass 30,000 total posts, that's my next big goal and I want to pass it sometime this year. I've had 7,000 posts in a year twice so getting another 5,000 this year won't be too difficult with the right levels of activity.
But wait. There's more.
Not only did I pass a big post milestone, but I also passed a big word milestone as well. 1.5 million total words. Like posts, the accomplishment is also within this post. That's another amazing accomplishment. Unlike posts and getting 5,000, getting 500,000 words will be a bit tougher and take a lot more time. If I were to keep up my 60 words per post average, then it would take more than 8,000 posts to reach 2 million words, which would probably take nearly two years. Both geeo and leggy are around 1.9 million so maybe I can also pass one or both of them within 2 years. Hopefully I can also reach the 2 million words goal at some point in 2020. But of course, all these goals are based on site activity so if the site gets lazy again, it's going to take a lot longer to reach. I'm finally here. After all this time, I made it to 25,000 posts.
