Last year I began this little project of recreated the Home Alone house in LEGO Worlds. I only had around 20 hours to invest into it last year and so I had only finished the front and sides of the house but not the yard and back, which is where the house gets really complicating. This year I invested an additional 20 hours and finally finished it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6LY-qBFjUI

The project was far more complicating than I had originally expected and this was for a lot of reasons.

1. The house is far more complex than you might imagine. It's not as simple looking in the back and on the sides as it is on the front.

2. The house has undergone so many changes in the past 28 years since the original movie came out. Modern images of the house didn't help much, maybe even the opposite.

3. I wanted the house to be as accurate and as to scale as possible. A lot of the time (maybe even half) I invested into the house went into just the planning and research.

4. The back of the house where Harry and Marv enter a lot is actually fake. That was never actually part of the house, they placed fake brick around the porch that is actually there and also dug in some stairs that lead to a fake basement via a fake door. This through me off the most because it made any blueprints I found of the house online confusing and any images I found of the house that weren't from the movies made this confusing as well.

5. There were a few other elements they changed about the house for the movies. They also never show a clear view of the right side of the house in the movie so that part of the house was very difficult.

6. LEGO Worlds, the game I built the house in, doesn't have as many LEGO bricks available as I would have liked so I had to find ways to compensate with the house's design.

Here's a few screenshots of my house compared to screenshots from the movie.

Next year I'll consider tackling the interior.

Well I don't know about you, but walking into a home made of legos is a death trap in itself. Still, very impressive, hopefully with the base you have so far making each individual room won't be too much of a hassle.

I bet Macaulay Culkin would be proud of this if he saw it. He seems to still be fond of his role in Home Alone, so I'm sure he'd love this. It's a very impressive build, real nice job.

That's actually really impressive David, I did see it before I forgot to post in my reply to this thread. It really looks like the house from the home alone movie.
