This might've been a thread before, but I'll just remake it since I don't feel like waiting for mod powers to reopen it lolololololololo

You ever fail a class? I didn't fail anything in high school, but in university I've failed both Calc 1 and Calc 2. I don't have the smartest math bulb in the world, lol. I'm hoping that Calc 2 will be my last time failing as I've heard it's probably the hardest math class, things get easier (or at least more focused on one topic) from here.

Only in high school, and only foreign languages.

Unfortunately, foreign languages are a requirement where I went to high school, so I had to take the easiest one, Conversational French, just to graduate. Thank god the school system realized there are some people who simply have difficulty learning a language besides English, and won't force them to do something like that to graduate.

Credit to people who can speak more than one language. That s*** is hard.

Minuano : I once failed a Psychology class due to high stress brought about by procrastination. I was so stressed out, I skipped the final (to be fair, I felt good about that). I didn't feel so good later. XD

I made some BAD habits in college, most especially later on. But I'm making better ones now so that if I return (I don't have far to go to get a Math degree), I'll be ready.

The last class that I failed was AP history back in high school but that was for the first semester and I managed to fix my grade later on.

There's also a chance that I might fail a class this semester thanks to internet problems and work.

No...I haven’t failed any classes. Lowest grades I’ve gotten are Bs.

It’s been a very stressful life to keep up with all of those high grades, especially through higher education.

Gotta keep that high GPA lol

I've never outright failed a class, I've come very close and I have also dropped out of classes twice. The time I very nearly failed, was in math class during my last year in high school. I had spent most of the year doing very little in class and performing very inconsistently during chapter tests leading up to the final exam, nearly getting As on some and barely passing others (also missed a few). The lack of effort showed when I did very poorly on one of the parts I missed. Fortunately I managed to pass, after taking a retest twice, the second of which took place the same day the grades were being finalized.

However it was nerve wracking as failing it would have meant having to retake the subject and waiting at least half a year before applying for university. I was seriously considering doing a prep year at university to not only retake that year of math but gain the competence needed for more math and natural science focused degrees. That may sound stupid, but I tend to be very stubborn about mastering that which I have previously failed. Had those teachers been a little more strict, I might have ended up on a completely different path when entering university and possibly gone for a completely different degree later down the road.

I did fail several exams over the course of my school years. At first it was just the classes that were the toughest for me and some times were I was lazy, but then things turned upside down after I started having big trouble with my disease.

I failed nearly all classes in what you guys call 11th grade, so I had to retake it, and even then I failed a couple exams of the toughest classes, but ultimately passed without much trouble. In 12th grade I had a brief relapse, so I took things easy and voluntarily skipped three classes to take them the following year. After 12th grade we have a special test in which our grades to enter university are determined, so I preferred to stay back and heal while taking out the classes not present in those tests to have an emptier schedule the next year and focus on what mattered most.

In university, my condition kept stalling me, and I couldn't blend in with the much higher effort needed to pass. Even when I switched to an easier format, some classes were incredibly tough and so I sometimes even had to skip them and bet it all on the final exam. I didn't fail any class on that last stretch, that I remember, but I ultimately left because it was heading nowhere.

When I think about how everything could have turned out without my disease messing it up... But well, I can finally say I'm in a better situation than I ever thought I'd be in my school days.

I haven't failed a class yet and hope I never do. I did withdraw from a Calculus class back in my first semester of college, but it was due to the professor's teaching style, unresponsiveness to emails, and slowness in grading assignments. I did get a full refund though, since I withdrew within the first few weeks of the semester.

In high school though, the closest I came to failing was a low B in Physics (it was either 80 or 81, but very close to C territory). I had an awful teacher though, he was frequently absent and incorrectly answered his own problems. Whenever someone asked for help or clarification, they ended up more confused than before.

I still have another 2 years of college left though, so we'll see how that goes.

I have exams in a month and a half and I feel like of my 5 classes there is 1 that I am 0% confident in. It's a history based class and I have always had a bad history with history. (No pun intended but I'm leaving it in). We were shown an example sheet and I would have probably scored more with an empty sheet of paper than whatever I would have written down.

I think there was 1 class that I failed in college. I remember switching my major the next semester after that. I knew I had picked the wrong major and thankfully was able to switch it almost right away.

I'm honestly glad I failed that class when I did so I didn't spend 2 or 3 more years on a degree I didn't want and ended up with the one I got.

I was shocked to find out that I didn't fail any of my classes this semester, but I didn't exactly do all that great either. The last time that I went a semester with a GPA this low was during Spring 2014.

It's been more than 4 years since I did this bad during a semester and to make matters worse, I lost my academic scholarship that semester and was forced to take a semester off and transfer to a public school from the cool private school that I was in.

So I didn't fail, but it was kind of just as bad for me.

Throughout my entire school career, I have never failed a class. The worst I've ever done in a class was when I got a C in Integral Calculus my first semester of college (last fall). I'm not the best at math, and I was not prepared for the increase in difficulty from high school to college. I also didn't take my classes very seriously first semester, and spent no time studying or preparing in any way. My grades have increased dramatically since then, and I actually got straight As this past semester.

Nope, never failed a class. Almost failed the refresher math course at university my freshman year when my teacher got extra critical of my work when she found out I was a veteran (she was anti-military, and got in trouble when I reported her for it.). She was forced by the department to regrade some of my stuff, and my final grade went up from a high 50s to a mid 60s, enough to pass.
It sucked because I had never gotten worse than a B on a report card in any math class. She was a really rough grader. It didn't help that the online program was a pain in the arse (ALEKS, so those of you that know what it is), and she was one of the teachers that made you show ALL OF YOUR WORK, no matter how simple or hard the problem was.

I think my last report card was an F nightmare. I got F's all the time, and can't even recall specific instances. In the end, I dropped out missing half a credit. (That's the narrative anyway.) Honestly though, I think I've learned more in the years since I left school, than I ever learned in the years I attended one.

History = 23/100. lol oops.

That wasn't even an exam but just in general, my lowest exam was a 27/100 for History as well. For the remaining two months I'll definitely have to put in more effort because (being in a Science class) my chemics is awful and if my chemics is under 70% (it was 51% last report) then I don't think I can even continue, and Chemics next year is supposed to be much harder. My biology is surprisingly good though (72%), though I had like a 30% or something for last exam lol.
