I am mainly wondering what is everyone else thoughts are of these games since they are so different in the normal game sense on how some stuff is done.

I personally like it even though it is easier. Since all pokemon in party gain experience regardless if they are in battle or not it makes things way easier especially if you try shiny hunting early on like I did. (And I failed.. and I found a random shiny rattata showing someone the pokeball plus accessory which kinda made me mad...)

Regardless of the difficulty game freak has made some small changes in the story that makes it more immersive in my opinion. I am only past Mt. Moon so I a lot to go through still.

As I said though what is your opinion on the games? Do you think it is too easy? To childish? Perfect for beginners?

I'm around Koga's gym, and I have gotta say, these games immensely passed expectations. You better get ready for a wild ride, my friend. Those changes they made to make it really immersive keep up, especially around Team Rocket segments.

I'm actually finding this game to be harder than I though. Not super hard, but I have found myself either a little underleveled or around the same level as my opponent. I'm very eager to keep playing this game and find out what's in store.

It's easy but for a guy who's already played the original and the remake already, I'd rather not spend too much time worrying about something that I've already beaten so many times. I just want to be able to experience all of the new stuff in peace.

I really do love the chain combo and the shiny hunting mechanisms.

I don't like the sizes of candy though. Like once a Pokemon reaches level 30 you can't use regular candy on them anymore. If I had known this before, I would have just kept grinding non stop to get a pokemons stat as high as I could get it before leveling them up to 30.

As a veteran that's played every main series game, I've really enjoyed playing Let's Go Pikachu. I knew from the beginning that it was going to be an easier game aimed for kids and Pokémon Go players looking to get into the main series game, and with that in mind, I think the game delivers very well. I like to be able to play a core Pokémon game in HD on the go, it's incredible how far the visuals have come along since the first games.

Even though I beat the game a couple days after release, I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of shiny hunting (really like the way my shiny ponyta looks when it follows me) and completing the pokedex--things that quickly grew tedious for me in prior games. Overall, the game's pros outweigh its cons. I don't understand why there is so much hate and negativity toward the games (most of it comes from the people it isn't event marketed for) since it was meant to attract new players and capitalize on the success of the enormously popular Pokémon go. It was a smart move on GameFreak's part to carry over familiar mechanics from Pokémon go and cut out some of the more complex ones found in the main series titles (abilities, held items, breeding, etc.). Obviously the game is going to be easier since it's targeted at casual players. It's not as though Gen 8 and possible Diamond and Pearl remakes aren't coming out in the near future.

It's crazy, I'm at the 24 hour mark and I just got my 5th gym badge. I'm not sure if I'm just misremembering, but I don't remember Kanto taking this long to finish, haha. This isn't a complaint, though, I prefer long games over short ones.

I finished it quite a while ago. Even completed the Pokedex, to a certain extent, barring Meltan and Mew since I don't play Go and I'm not buying that damn Pokeball.

It was really fun. I'll give it that it surpassed my expectations greatly. It wasn't one of the best Pokemon games, but I did expect to not really enjoy it that much. I'm glad they caught me off guard.

Really, this is only serving to hype me up for Gen 8 (which I believe is the purpose of the game anyway). If this simple Kanto remake is this surprisingly good, Gen 8 might be shaping up to be easily one of the best gens.

I haven't even gotten my 3rd badge yet, and I've been playing A LOT.

Probably put about 60 hours into the game already, but I've been putting so much effort into things like Shiny Hunting and chains.

Looking back at the games they weren't as bad as I thought they'd be but I'm more excited for gen 8 and Sinnoh remakes after that.

Let's go did bring my hopes up for gen 8 to still have the following pokemon feature. It just makes your journey feel more special by having your favorite team members run behind you. I do hope we don't go back to the gen 6 chibi art style, I'm not a fan of it.
