About 2 weeks before Red Dead Redemption II came out, I had no intention of getting it. I didn't even play the first one and just wasn't interested. But then I saw my friend play and saw some news and updates about it so I ended up getting the game like two days after it came out and hoped for the best. In the end I wasn't disappointed. I already played like 20 hours and thought the game was pretty cool.

Graphics: 10

The graphics are so realistic. I was told that the game was supposed to be "dynamic" but that ended up being an understatement. I didn't even download the patch and the game still looks beautiful. You can actually see each individual blade of grass and when it rains, your horse actually gets wet. Now that is attention to detail.

Sound: 8

I like the games music but I think it could have been much better. I really like the main theme but that's about it. But the music does actually do a good job at giving a historical feel. On the other hand, I love the voice acting so much as well as some of the other sounds. There's so many voice actors and they all do a great job, especially at sounding old-timey. Half the time I thought I was listening to Jeff Bridges.

Addictiveness: 9

The game is so much fun and there's so much to do. If you are bored with the story you can do dozens of side missions. If you've had enough of those, you can hunt, rob, play poker, or just explore the gigantic map.  If you liked the first one or any game by Rockstar, you're probably never going to run out of things to do. You might even spend hours between missions doing random stuff. The only thing is that travelling by horse will be tedious after a while but other than that the game is so addictive.

Depth: 10

Everything in the last section is still true here. There's so much to do and explore. Even if you forget about the hundred hours worth of missions and the tens of thousands of lines of dialogue, there's still a lot. The map is huge. In Grand Theft Auto V, you could drive from one end of the map to the other easily, but riding your horse from one end of thr map to another in this game is going to take a long time. You also have a bunch of mini games too, like poker, dominoes, blackjack, and shaving. There's a reason that the game is 100 gigabytes and needed two disks, and none of the GB's went to waste.

Story-9

The story is simple. You're an outlaw. You're literally out of law. You have no law left to give. The story follows Arthur and his compadres and is a prequel to the first game. The story is about surviving in the wild west and doing whatever you have to to do so. One thing about the story is that it's super long. That's both good and bad here. It's good to have long stories because there's lots to do and many hours of gameplay. But like I said earlier, travelling can be tedious and a bunch of the missions are so far apart you're literally just riding for a few minutes before you even get to see any action.

Difficulty: 7

This game is actually pretty difficult. In GTA, you can easily outrun pretty much anyone in a car and take a lot of damage. With the right guns, you can be out in the open and kill everything. Not in Red Dead. The health bar seems to not want to be high, and whenever you're battling a group that wants to kill you, they most likely will.  In fact, here's a list of some of the ways I remember being killed so far... Gun. Small gun. Horse. Falling. Falling 3 inches. Train. Wall. Dog. Tree. Looking at tree. Fire*.

Overall: 9.2

This game is amazing but it does have its annoyances. Lots of people are saying it's one of the Greatest games of all time and while I agree with them, I say that most of the love is geared towards the graphics, game length, and sheer size, which I guess make up for some areas. It's definitely one of my five most favorite PS4 games of all time so far but to me the game just gets to tedious and repetitive after a while but for thosr who don't care about that, the game is even better.
