You know, I have been wanting to make a journal like this for awhile now, but here we are.... But what are your favorite Generations in the entire series from most favorite to least favorite... This is mine.....

Note, you don't have to go into complete details like I did, but still

(Most Favorite)
Generation V....
As you can tell, I am a little bias when it comes to the 5th Generation games (Black, White, Black 2, and White 2), but putting bias aside, I will tell you, I personally find that the 5th Generation is quite impressive in every angle, I liked the graphics (although I'm the guy that always say "I don't give a *beep* about a game's graphics"), the soundtrack, the gameplay, the setting (the Unova region), the theme, all the Pokemon introduced (including my 2 most favorite Pokemon of all times Reshiram and Zekrom), the game mechanics, but the biggest thing that got me loving the 5th Generation so much is the storyline. The 5th Generation storyline personally, I think is the best storyline that Game Freak and The Pokemon Company has ever came up with that any other generation before or after. I even stated in a previous thread that I have made, I will not sell Black, White, Black 2, White 2, and my Reshiram/Zekrom special edition Nintendo DSi, even if the world depends on me doing that.

As soon as The Pokemon Company announced a Black & White remake, I'm pre-ordering the Collector's Edition (or something similar) immediately.

I know there is a few people out there will go out in a limb and say that the 5th Generation is their personal worse, but everyone is titled to their opinion, just like how I say that the 5th Generation is my personal favorite.

_____

(2nd Most Favorite)
Generation VII....
The newer 7th Generation (Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon) was a huge improvement after a horrific 6th Generation (which I will explain a whole lot later on), because the 7th Generation introduced a whole new element to the entire Pokemon franchise that we haven't seen in previous generations, like the trials, the 4 Kahuna battles, the newer free-roam (instead of it being a 4-direction/8-direction tile movement), and more of a semi-realistic setting as well (although I'm not a graphics kinda person though). It also introduced a great number of Pokemon including my 3rd most favorite and most favorite non-legendary Pokemon.... Kommo-o.

The think I also like is the introduction of the "Z-Moves" which is a whole lot better than the whole gimmicky Mega Evolution that was introduced in Generation VI, and unlike the Mega Evolutions, I will use the Z-Moves if it comes at a point that I have to absolutely have to use it, usually near the end of a battle, and I personally view using Z-Moves a whole lot than Mega Evolution.

(3rd Most Favorite)
Generation IV....
I got to admit, the 4th Generation (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver) was quite impressive, I really like the whole Sinnoh region (not as much as the Unova and Alola regions, but still), and personally, once Game Freak does get around in announcing a remake of Diamond & Pearl, I will buy it, (not as crazy than I would be once Game Freak announce a Black & White remake), I like the Sinnoh storyline, especially the storyline in Platinum, and what also got Generation IV being my 3rd most favorite Pokemon Generation is the remake of Gold and Silver, and that made Generation IV being the first and only generation to feature 3 regions (instead of 2 in Gen II, III, VI and 1 in Gen I, V, VII).

_____

(The Median)
Generation II....
The 2nd Generation (Gold, Sliver, Crystal) was pretty alright, I got to say that, it introduced a whole lot of Pokemon that are quite interesting to me, not just the appearance, but the move sets and the impressive stats, the thing I also liked about the 2nd Generation games is that you can also travel back to the Kanto region (the 1st Generation region). Although I felt like Gold, Silver, and Crystal at the time could of had a little bit of more work to be done, and parts seem a little lame

_____

(3rd Least Favorite)
Generation III....
For the 3rd Generation (Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, and Emerald), the thing that personally killed this Generation is that you can't transfer Pokemon from the 2nd Generation games to the 3rd Generation games (unlike you did with the 1st to the 2nd, and future games after the 3rd Generation). Other than the whole Pokemon transfer situation, the 3rd Generation was ok, but personally, I felt like it was pretty mediocre, the storyline wasn't that great, but hey, it isn't the worse storyline in the whole series (I'm looking at you X & Y), but the Pokemon that was introduced and the gameplay at the time kept it from being a complete failure.

This would of tied with the 2nd Generation, but because of the whole Pokemon Transfer problem between the 2nd and 3rd, this was a step down to my 3rd least favorite.

_____

(2nd Least Favorite)
Generation I....
To be honest, the first Pokemon games (Red, Blue, and Yellow) would have been ranked a whole lot higher because I did enjoy the game playing both Red, Blue and Yellow, even more than the 2nd Generation Pokemon games (Gold, Silver, Crystal), but the reason why that the Gen I games is further down this list, you should thank the people that wants to shove this Generation down everyone's throats saying that Gen I is the one with the more "creative" Pokemon and modern Pokemon is pure trash. Personally, I don't care about the stupid appearance, I care more about the moves and stats.

Sorry folks, if you didn't shove this Generation down my throat, I would like the 1st Generation a whole lot more, you guys killed my liking of the 1st Generation.

_____

(Least Favorite)
Generation VI....
Finally, the Pokemon Generation I dislike the most, the 6th Generation Pokemon games (X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire), because the reason why I don't really like these games, it mostly reflects of the gameplay. Personally I felt like it was watered down from the Gen IV and Gen V games. And don't get me started with the storyline, unlike the huge, well-played storyline from the previous Generation, X & Y's storyline was extremely bland and boring, and ORAS wouldn't really much count because it's really a remake of the Gen III storyline, just with 3DS graphics, and even like I stated above in the Gen III review, the Hoenn storyline was more of a meh to me, but hey, at least it was a little better than the Kalos storyline, I got to give it that.

This was also the Generation that introduced the least amount of Pokemon to the series which was 71, and this was the generation that also introduced one of the most stupidest and overpowered type the series has ever released... The dreaded Fairy type, like seriously, do we need this worthless excuse of a type? And the Pokemon that was introduced were the worst, out of the 71, I only like 6 of them (Greninja, Goomy, Goodra, Noibat, Noivern, and Yveltal) compaired to other generations where I like at least 25 of them.

And the whole Mega Evolution gimmick was pretty alright for the Gen VI games (and beyond), but personally, I didn't care about it too much (I only use Mega Evolutions during the gym battles, Elite Four, and the Championship), and when Gen VII debuted the Z-moves, I didn't care about the whole Mega Evolution gimmick anymore.

By my opinion, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company really bombed the 6th Generation, but like I said, at least they made it up with the 7th Generation.

I'm a Gen one'r, but I started playing the games on Emerald, so my favorite is probably going to have to be One, since I know most of the Pokémon from that, but not from 4.

Most of my favorites are from the first three gens even though the later ones are the ones I played the most. My favorite is Gen 2 because of having both regions and Pokemon Gold was my first Pokemon game and the one that I put the most time into. My second favorite would be Gen 3 because of Emerald, which added so many cool new features and concepts to the game.

My least favorite gen would probably have to he Gen 5 but mostly because I couldn't play it all that much, but also I wasn't that big a fan of the map or some of the Pokemon.
