Is there any game or games out there that you will not sell or trade in because that game or games means a whole lot to you? Either simply it's the best game in the series to your opinion, or you got so much content on that game that you don't want to lose everything and start back from scratch when you re-buy it again?

With me, that has to be Pokemon Black and Pokemon White, the reason I picked Black & White even despite that we are 2 Pokemon Generations ahead of Black & White, there is something with Black & White that made me want to permanently keep the games and not trade them both in, it mostly has to be that Black & White is the highest rated games I gave a Pokemon game, and it's the most preferred Pokemon game for me. Not just that, but I also own a special edition Reshiram & Zekrom Nintendo DSi which was my main handheld that I used between 2011-2014 (before I bought the 3DS in June 2014). I always like playing Black & White, especially on my special edition DSi.

And to be honest, if it comes to a point that I need cash and this is all I have left (which I traded all of my other games (3DS and Switch), I rather start sell my body parts before I even think about selling Black & White, and my special edition Reshiram & Zekrom Nintendo DSi, it's just not happening.

What about you, is there a game and/or a Console/Handheld that you just simply refuse to sell or trade in?

I love the affection that you're showing towards Black and White ! It's a lovely game I agree, and honestly Gen V deserves much more attention. To answer your question, there's only one game that I'd sell, and it's Fifa for the 3ds (forgot which one) because i once asked for a different game and my dad got me the wrong game back then so yea. All the consoles and handhelds that I own mean a lot to me, so I don't think of selling them any time in the future (except if i give one to my future child for example or to someone who means a looot to me, and this is different).

one game that i extremely show affection to it is super smash brothers brawl for the wii. i love its soundtrack, gameplay, modes and everything!! even if my wii is dead now i will still not sell it, i will keep the boxart forever .

I am not really that attached to videogames so as to refuse getting rid of them, though it would be hard to let go of a few ones that are very special to me.

One is surely Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for the Gamecube. I've played it time and time again, and the nearly endless Chao World it offers (which hasn't since been repeated in such magnificence) is almost the virtual place I'd like to be if I have to transfer my consciousness into a videogame. I am heavily disappointed it hasn't been seen again, we don't need Sonic Adventure 3 for it and it could perfectly be a big game on its own, so if Sega ever launches a new Chao World could probably be the first time I actually buy a game on day one.

Another one could probably be Kirby Air Ride, for everything it offers. We have three very distinct game modes, but each is simple enough to be played by anyone. It also has a checklist, where you unlock new things for each mode after completing certain tasks, so it also provides a healthy challenge to keep you glued.

There could be more, but I can't really think of any other whose flaws (if any) aren't overshadowed by the many good things they have.

I've got a ton of games on 3DS...downloaded...Games that mean a lot to me, games that have helped me become a better person (more so than many games on other platforms). I don't want to trade in either one of my 3DS consoles (although one recently broke...so I'll need a replacement). And both chargers are torn. It's been a mess.

Also, our Wii U. We have a bunch of great games for it, and its backwards compatibility and large library of great games (and ability to borrow from the library) make it something I wouldn't want to sell unless I have to.

Our Xbox 360 has a lot of games my brother and I love. Considering most of the games are downloaded, again, that'd be a tough sell.

Our PS3 last of all. Ni No Kuni is a game I cannot play without a PS3. Emulation is spotty, for one (and emulation is something I want to stay away from). For two, my saved data is on there. I have no PS Plus. And there are other great games like Littlebigplanet I just haven't played enough of...and have long hoped my brother would join in with. I even got him a controller.

Now, there are situations in which I would gladly sell the consoles, especially if I can put them in the hands of someone who would appreciate them. But otherwise, I don't see a good reason to part with them.

I would have to say Mega Man IV and Mega Man V for game boy. It took me a while to get these games. Second these games are the best games in the Mega Man Game Boy line. They are just that awesome and very fun to play. So I will not sell those two games for sure.

Another game I would not sell is Kirby and the Amazing mirror for gameboy advance. That is a very fun game to play and is awesome. I was so eager to get a hold of that game when it first game out. So no deal there either.

Lately, things have been slowing down for me finally and I haven't been moving around so much, but traditionally I have found myself displaced a lot. Because of many, many years of this, I kind of became conditioned to not attaching myself to many objects and things in my life, including most of the consoles I've owned. It's been quite a few years since I sold or traded in a console, prolly mostly due to a distraction from the current state of the industry, but lately my hope feels rekindled.
Anywho, I do in fact have 2 games that mean a GREAT deal to me that I have carried around with me.
The Shin Megami Tensei IV collectors edition and the Hotline Miami 1/2 Gamer's Edition.
They mean so much to me.

For me. I don't want to trade in my PS4 for a PS4 Pro because I've really been thinking about getting a Nintendo Switch. With all the games coming out for it, it's been driving me up a wall with a lot of convincing titles I'd love.

Otherwise, I once traded away Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring long ago as a child and I will never make that same mistake again. I bought a fresh copy from New York Games when I visited New York once and I shall care for it with love and never set it out into the wild.

I'm not going to sell or trade in any of them if they still work for a number of reasons. Back in the day I used to trade in a lot of stuff to get something new but then later on I would always regret not having that game or console anymore.

Trading anything in or even selling it directly never gets you as much as it should, and there's always a possibility of playing a game again at a later on, so I feel like its a good idea to keep them unless you absolutely have to get rid of them for some reason.

zanderlex : That's the thought process I use with my games now, with the lone exception for some racing games (like once I complete Forza 6, I'll no longer have any use for it since I have Forza 7, and then the occasional game that I get for a quick fix.)

Right now, I don't touch my switch unless a friend is over. I think I'll leave it that way, and not trade or sell it in, because I simply don't want to right now. I want to experience REAL Pokemon next year, and be able to play some games with my little brother.

There's also my XBOX ONE S. I have no use for it, since I have my XBOX ONE X, and I have no need for the S being in the living room, since I spend absolutely no time in there. I'll sell it to a friend so they can play with their friends, and me as well. Once I graduate in a few years, by then, either the XBOX ONE will have another edition that I will get, or I will just get another XBOX ONE X for the living room, mostly for convience, and guests.

I have games ranging from the Atari 5200 up to the PlayStation 3.  ( I don't have money for the PS4 or I would start my collection on that)  I don't think I could ever part with any of my games since they all have some sort of meaning to me.  From just playing them as a kid and wanting them back, to having played them and fallen in love with them.  I grew up watching my dad play a game, beat it, then buy another.  He would do that almost every time he beat a game, and his collection rivals mine.  I don't collect just to have them either, so I don't own thousands of games.  I have to at least like it enough to play it twice.  I have a few favorites that I would take to my grave with my, like Suikoden II and Ogre Battle.  As for consoles, I wouldn't get rid of any of those either, except my crappy Chinese remake of a Nintendo, but, you get what you pay for on that

I can also tell you, on top of my refusal of wanting to sell my Generation V Pokemon games and my Special Edition Reshiram/Zekrom Nintendo DSi, I'm also not going to sell my Nintendo Switch, and soon to be Super Smash Bros Ultimate (once that game is released this December).

First of all, the reason I don't want to sell my Nintendo Switch is because it was a pain in the behind on trying to get the console/handheld from the get go, like I spent a whole year trying to get one, and I finally got one a year after released (mostly because demand were down), and if I sell my Switch, it might be another year till I can get one again and I ain't going through that again. Plus the reason I'm not going to sell Smash Ultimate once it's released, because being a fan of the Smash franchise, and Ultimate being the best one of the series, there is no way I will sell that, and also, I need a game for the Switch as well.

thing1 : I guess you could go that route with racing and sports games in general, but then again some of the older sports games happen to be the ones that become real classics and the ones that offer a lot of nostalgia.

For example, I wish I could play the old NASCAR games and Tony Hawk Pro Skater games. They made new ones every year, but nothing beats the older ones.

zanderlex : I'll give you that. If you compare what you could back then to what you could play now... I still love to play that Nascar game on the N64, as well as Ken Griffrey Jr.'s Home Run Derby.

As for the Tony Hawk... I liked them, but I never liked the time constraint. I think, even though I haven't played it in awhile, that I like Skate 3 a lot more. That being said, I acutally liked Underground and Wasteland. There was the one where you had to build your park, and do some stupid hard tricks to get them, but it was so much fun.

I know I'll definitely never trade in my Gameboy, or my GameCube. Too many memories with my GameCube to give that up.

Game wise, I'll definitely never trade in any of my Pokemon games. Spent way too much time and effort in them, and I still enjoy going back and playing through them again. I'll also definitely never give up Sonic Riders, for the GameCube, because it holds such a special place in my heart (being the first and one of the few games that I've managed to beat).

I dunno, I get very attached to my stuff real easy, don't like giving it away or anything. I'm a bit of a hoarder I guess lol

I couldn't even imagine not having my Intelevision Console with like 50 games, and my NES. I have my trifecta of Bombay sports games. Tecmo Super Bowl, Blades of Steel, and RBI Baseball 2. Those were my first two consoles, and I still use them for some intense games at $5/game. To many childhood memories to ever get rid of them.
