I want to BEGIN by saying that I have NES, SNES, & SEGA emulators that I use offline with the same controller, and have no issues whatsoever.  I even use the same emulators used here.  Now to the details:

I've been around here for many years and mostly always used a 360 controller with no issues, until recently when it died on me.  While I'm ordering a new one, I decided to use the PS4 controller.  I've actually found that I like it better due to the superior D-Pad, but there's an issue that prevents me from even getting through a level of anything.

Even when I'm laying completely still while playing, after a few minutes it will randomly disconnect & reconnect.  Upon the reconnect, I no longer have control and am losing/dying.

I'm ordering a new wired 360 controller so I'll be fine in the long run, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or knew a solution.  Thanks.

KEY THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE RESPONDING:

1.  The PS4 controller has no problem on the PS4 or playing on the same emulators offline.  It only happens here.
2.  My internet is not disconnecting/reconnecting, just the controller.  I know this because I'm always either streaming things or watching live streams, and they have no issues at the time of the PS4 controller disconnecting.
3.  This has NEVER happened to any of my wired 360 controllers over many years, just the PS4 controller and only here.

Not at all trying to be unpleasant about it, just as informative as possible to prevent pointless responses.  Either way, I'll have a new 360 controller soon and everything will be fine again.  Just puzzled and wondering if there's a fix that I'm unaware of.  Thanks.

Try Using DS4Windows. I had the same issue with other games, If that doesn't work then try a different USB cable to be hooked up to your computer.
