Link's Awakening DX
10 hours is a long time. Especially when you have nothing to do. This game has always been one of my favorite games.
Many years ago I had this game and I loved it but could never beat it. As I aged it collected dust. Now when I can understand what is going on. And now I can appreciate how good it is, and how, with what limited graphics ability they showed depth and had two different viewpoints.
Graphics
8- I gave this game an 8 on graphics because of how little glitches there are, and how realistic it is. It flows very nicely, especially compared to other game boy color games. And, good color variation.
Sound
9- Not much here. Has some variations, and good overall sound. But that would make me want to give it a 7. It is the songs that give it the boost. Great songs, the songs doesn't go over the sound, and the sound doesn't overwrite the music. And the Windfish's song, (I dubbed it this name because that is who it is for and I forgot what it is named) when you play it in front of the egg with all 8 Instruments of the Sirens, Wonderful! I don't think that any game boy color has that much depth and variation in the sound of their games.
Addictiveness
9- If it weren't addictive I wouldn't have given it a 9, or played it for 10 hours in a row. Sometimes the steam boils down but the want for better items, more instruments, more places to discover, just keeps it going
Story
9- Not spectacular, but great. It has a lack of true, deep, story. But it has it, and it keeps going for awhile. Most games are a 1-2 to completely beat them, but this, in order to truly beat it you have to play several times and search every nook and crann... Read the rest of this Review
