Vizzed has a Facebook App that allows you to play RGR games right on facebook:

Be sure to 'Like' the App and also Share it with your friends!

This will be great for when vizzed goes down, you'll still be able to play retro games! You wont be able to load or save your progress with the games in the app (I've got a separate app coming out eventually for that) and you can't play any of the RGR Plugin games with it but most of the java games are available within the app.

So what's the point? Well like I said, if vizzed goes down, you can still play some retro games. Also, for some people it's hard to get their friends to join vizzed but it's easier to get them to use an app on facebook so this is a great opportunity to introduce them to vizzed!

And before any complains about the look, I wanted to keep it as simple as possible and to keep the strain down as much as I could. Basically the app is on its own server which isn't nearly as powerful as the vizzed servers so therefore I wanted the app to use very little strain. It doesn't use a database and the game navigator is basically all client side.

The ability so save and load your game progress works again. The ability to upload stuff and take screenshots should work again as well. And the Chat Bar should work again. The problem was that the log files on the server built up and used up all the servers disk space, this problem has been fixed.

The ability to save is currently down. Not sure why this happened but it's most definitely because Godaddy was messing around with my server and messed something up. Now they're trying to fix it and should have it fixed within 24 hours. Even though it's not my fault at all, I'll apologize for Godaddy and for the inconvenience.

A new version of the Plugin has just been released and it is required to continue playing RGR games. Here's what's new:

Bug Fixes:
-GB and GBC games are now more playable and no longer lag
-There were a few GBA games that had lag, these have been fixed
-If a game fails to download, it'll redownload when you play it again instead of being corrupted
-Some N64 games may play better

New Feature:
HighScore mode has been added to the RGR Plugin games. This means that you can compete for high scores in any of the RGR Plugin games. To do so, scroll down the page where it shows the user high scores and click 'Compete for Highscore'. On top of this, it'll also record how many seconds it took you to acheive that score so in case 2 people have the same score, the person who got that score in the least amount of time will win the tie breaker.

Previous Updates (in case you missed them from the update from earlier this month):
-Saving and Loading works for new users now
-Save files are automatically backed up, so in case your save file gets corrupted or lost, you can recover it from the Save File Manager

Vizzed is looking to get physical copies of all the games in the Retro Game Room.

You can donate any game. If we already have it or if it's for a system that we don't have, we'll simply sell the game our self and use the money we earn to put toward RGR Plugin updates. You can also donate game systems as well, but no accessories (unless it's a valuable accessory).

You can also earn Viz. I'll send you 500 Viz for each US $1 the game is worth. If you want to know how much Viz I'd send you for donating your games, respond to the below thread and tell me which games you'd want to donate. If you want to simply donate money, that'd help out a lot too and you earn 1000 Viz for each $1 you donate.

Vizzed has been in the process of getting the RGR Plugin updated so that it has better game compatibility, less bugs, more features and more systems. While we did just get an update, it resulted into some bugs and didn't have any new features. We still need more money to get all the updates done that we need and since I have to pay someone to make these updates, it costs money.

All donations will go toward tom760, the developer of the Plugin.
tom760: Hopefully you get enough donations to continue working on the RGR Plugin.

The RGR Plugin games are back up but you'll notice that there's a new version of the Plugin. The main update to this Plugin is that anyone should be able to save and load their progress now, even new users. With the old Plugin, we reached the max number of users who could save their progress. Bug testers of the new RGR Plugin also reported that it ran a little faster. Most of the Save files are up but for some users they are not. If you notice that your save files are missing, don't worry, they probably haven't been updated yet. All save files should be working within 16 hours.

A big thanks to tom760 for making it his priority to getting the RGR Plugin updated so that save files would work for new users, so be sure to give him full credit and thank him, not me.

Vizzed RGR Plugin Games will be back up at 10:00 central time. This maintenance is necessary in order to release the New RGR Plugin and to allow people who currently can't save to save.
