WWF No Mercy Review bbryan217
WWF No Mercy is a pretty good game. I remember playing it when I was a kid. I love playing the Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. There is however a couple of glitches in the game. The game will not save sometimes and you end up losing everything you have done. This includes unlocking superstars, getting championships, etc. I feel that this should maybe be fixed. Also, about five minutes after the game starts, it repeats a certain sound and keeps repeating and that gets really annoying. I feel that this should mainly be fixed because i like listening to the characters entrance song, listening to the crowd cheer and in my opinion would make this game a lot better.

Hawk's Fly in Fly out of (WWE NO MERCY) Hawk1290
This is my 1st review of ANY game on @Vizzed.
WWE NO MERCY
This of course is a classic, and with all DEFINING CLASSICS on a system it's almost sacrilegious to critique it. We'll more so 'critique' this version never-the-less. If your a 90's kid, i have no need to cover the game, but this particular version doesn't live up to the original. I basically play every game on mute and have some Bon Iver playing. Well It's a must to MUTE this game, and spare the ear-ache. The Soundtrack just skips here and there. Particularly in the begging or whenever you pause the emulator to change Bon Iver to Audioslave. The music is really the set back here.
There is no Particular bug's, you have you regular glitch here from time to time. One thing that is a MUST is; savE. saVE. sAVE...SAVE!!
Every-time you think something is bringing back a memory. "Every 15 sec for me".
Well....
We still have Austin- Raising Hell. Clicking Over Ivory- for Jazz. Sweet chin music-ing every one with HBK, and Tombestoning away with Taker.
...Oh and for the Millennium kid this was when the Attitude era was in full effect. You'll Enjoy it.
Thank's for reading.

WWF No Mercy sammysam723
I'm only 14 so I have almost no nostalgia for this game so this review will not be biased. Overall this is a great game even for the person who isn't into wrestling games. Its controls are tight, the story is damn near endless, and the roster is the best since WWF Warzone. Graphics: For graphics I give this game an 8/10, compared to other games of this time period they are top notch. A little more blocky than it should be but its animations definitely make up for it. For sound I gave this a 6/10 its sound track is original and cool but there's skipping and it loops a lot. For addictiveness this deserves a 9/10 I played this game for days, and I still play it when I'm bored. There is so much customization its ridiculous. For story I gave it a 10/10 flawless, it can go on forever and there is many storylines. (one for each title) The depth also gets a 10/10. Like ive said this game is endless and has a lot to offer. Over all this game gets an 8.9/10 great game.

This game is a slobberknocker! SuperCrash64
Graphics: 8/10
Pros: The graphics are vastly improved over the previous WWF wrestle mania 2000. The character sprites look really good for these old type of games. Just about every detail that is on a character is there, whether it'd be HBK's hearts, or Undertakers American Bad Bone outfit, they look really good on this game. Despite this game being older, I prefer some of the character models on this over WWF Smack down on the PlayStation. The crowd looks about as good as it got back then, you have your detailed fan favorite signs that show up and vairy on which character you
select.
Cons: Some animations look a tad bit choppy , it mostly shows in animations like the flying elbow drop, or a tackle.
The Crowd while they do look good and detailed, they kinda look like they were cardboard cut outs or something like that.
Sound: 8/10
Pros: The sound and the audience makes it authentic and fun to play, having the crowd cheer and boo you really adds to that realistic experience, you also have some bonus sounds effects such as the sounds of your opponents crashing from a turnbuckle, to throwing a barrage of punches and they sound very good. The music is also pretty good,"Let's get it on huah!" It's pretty catchy and memorable stuff which makes or breaks a wrestling game for me, and this one nails it. Not to mention I like the fact the music is actually originally composed, unlike some of the modern wrestling games which have Superstar theme's playing.
Cons: Speaking of superstar theme's, while the entrance music is implemented, it does sound a bit blurred out and compressed, and there's no commentary over the matches.
Addictiveness/Depth:10/10
This is were the game picks up. You got a lot to do, you can clone superstars, edit superstars, and even make your own Caws(Created Wrestlers) You got a royal rumble match, championship matches, triple threat, and specialty matches. You also have a lot to unlock in career mode such as the Ppv arena's and unlock able characters.
I find wrestling games a lot of fun to play, and unlike some morden wrestling games, these ones have a sort of redeemable quality. Pedigree and body slamming my opponent, getting caught in a submission, kicking out of a pin, and even winning the matches and championships. Not to mention the sheer enjoy of bleeding my opponents has made this game a truly enjoyable experience.
Story: 10/10 If I remember anything about the story in these type of games, is that you've got to play through career mode to fully experience them as the wrestling games have feuds and rivalries which usually end in a Ppv title or non-title match. You basically pick out your guy, and then go through career mode and all it has to offer.
Difficulty: 6/10
The difficulty in this game makes SVR 2006 and the recent games look like nothing. The AI will counter you, slam you, steal your taunts, and use a finisher on you in an attempt to get a win. The controls took a little bit of getting used to, but once you get through with the countering, learning to dive outside the ring, use weapons, you can win the matches with ease. So these games offer quite a good bit of progression.
Overall: 9.7/10 If your looking into a good wrestling game, or just a good overall retro game. This one I can highly recommend you check out.

WWF No Mercy Review, at last Maki4Ever
After months playing this game, and other parts of the year not caring about it whatsoever, it's finally time for my WWF No Mercy review.
This game is a cornerstone of wrestling games, and if I can't play WWF Smackdown 1 or 2 on this website, mainly because I don't have the PlayStation here, then this will have to do as a part-time gaming hobby.
For the story, it's simple, win any of the WWF titles (World Heavyweight, Intercontinental, Tag Team, Women's, European, Light Heavyweight, and Hardcore).
But it's not simple, you can't just win all you matches. You have to win some matches, then lose some matches. The ultimate goal for this game is to achieve a 100% completion rate for all the titles.
The roster is stacked, with guys like Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Kane, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, among others.
Let's take a look and see which mechanics cashed in on their opportunities and which ones need future endeavoring:
Graphics: The wrestlers look extremely detailed, and all of their signature attires are there. I still notice a lack of referee in this game, but that has been done before, in Wrestlemania 2000, and the WCW games. The arenas and the background areas add a sense of realism as well. Overall, this game is heavily detailed, and I can see why people are calling it the best wrestling game of all time. 10/10
Sound: I love the background music and the entrance themes, but I felt like that there were some things missing, and again, no commentary. 9/10
Gameplay: It's awesome! The A.I is fluid, and the motions are well-balanced and perfected, just like in a wrestling ring. The only thing that bothers me about this game is not being able to counter efficiently, and sometimes the opponent counters to easily, especially early in a match. I also didn't play the tag team modes, mainly because I could not find the button that makes me tag my partner in. 9.5/10
Addictiveness: This game is very addicting. With all the story you have to go through, and the create-a-wrestler screen, it's no wonder how I got hooked on this game as soon as I downloaded it for the website. 10/10
Story: It's full of depth, yet it's a shame I never got to play the whole thing. Maybe If I play it more, I can discover it's true potential. I heard it contains a rehash of some real-life storylines, so that's the only other thing keeping it down. 8/10
Depth: It has a lot of game modes, like the afformentioned story mode and Create-a-wrestler, but there's also Survival Mode. This is my personal favorite, and it involves beating up the whole roster until you are eliminated by pinfall, submission, or thrown over the top rope. It's a lot of fun, if you get the hang of it. 10/10
Difficulty: The only low grade of this game. The single-player's too easy, and I get bored while playing it because I can't lose. But it gets tough on Survival Mode, as the numbers game might get to you and cause you to get outnumbered. 7/10
Now, it's time to add them up and give out my verdict:
10+9+10+10+8+10+7= 64
64/7= 9.1 over 10, 0.4 lower than what I originally gave it: 9.5/10
The Verdict: With its fluid gameplay, in-depth story and character modes, and addicting atmosphere, WWF No Mercy stands alone as the best wrestling game to play Vizzed, with no real contenders or games like this to come out in the future.

WWF No Mercy yankeefan10
Everyone who's a wrestling fan played this game or at the least knew about it. If you don't know about the game then here it is for you to try it. This game is addictive with its easy to learn control scheme, its pretty good size roster, and the career mode, this game does what WWE'12 wanted to do, have an challenging, but fun wrestling game, but unlike WWE'12, which is a good game, this game's control scheme is perfect, and if the game wasn't so addictive to play, I don't think it would've hold up as much, but amazing enough, this game still holds up today as one of the best wrestling game ever made. WWF No Mercy (N64) Awesome5000
WWF No mercy made by the company THQ in the year 1999 for the Nintendo 64 is hands down one of the most memorable and entertaining wwf wrestling games ever created for the home console such as the Nintendo 64 .This game includes many of the world wrestling federation superstars who were the jobbers, divas, the faces and the heels from the early wwf attitude era .Choose any of the superstars that are on the roster in 1 player where you get to play in an exhibition match ,wether it's one on one, tagteam, cage, falls count anywhere hardcore match ,and even ladder matches,or you can choose championship mode where you will enter a career style storyline going for any championship you desire ,choose the Rock,Stone cold Steve Austin,Triple-H ,The Undertaker,Kurt Angle, mankind ,or any of your top favorites and defeat all challengers to become the number one contender to take on the current champion wether it's the hardcore title, the european title, the intercontinental championship ,women's championship or the main title that makes you the top superstar and top face or top heel of the wrestling business ,the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BELT.The game can go up to four players in the ring at a time during fatal four way ,ladder or matches like the royal rumble .You can take weapons out from the crowd ,or go backstage where there is a locker room, entrance stage, corridor ,bar room, parking lot ,taking it out of the ring,no holds barred .As you progress in championship mode in the storyline, sometimes the story can change depending on your victory , wether you win or lose in a match in career mode ,you will still continue the storyline on how the fued is going ,and you will sometimes be given certain decisions that will either make it more difficult,or easier .The character models and animations are decent ,the arenas are pretty well designed, monday night raw arena, smackdown arena ,and pay-per-view's are pretty accurate to the real life ppv arenas from the past because every pay-per-view arena in the game has a different set and it's the similar type sets they have had in the business in the past attitude era during the year 1999.The game controls are great. You can light strike ,fierce strike ,light grapple ,fierce grapple giving you the advantage to preform certain signature moves like the chokeslam, run, pick up weapons, climb turnbuckles, climb steel cage ,or ladder ,taunt ,special signature moves for each wrestler .Theres some realizm in it as well, for example (X-pac cannot pick up Rikishi and slam him right away ,it'll take some button mashing after weakening heavyweights a little to make thinner wrestlers be able to slam heavier wrestlers) and also an entrance for each superstar .The entrances include theme musics as you will see the titantron play their entrance video ,but the entrances are only half way through the ramp meaning you wont see them getting into the ring like you will see the superstars doing the whole entrance walk in the previous game "Wrestlemania 2000" . The game also has a lot to achieve and unlock ,like certain superstars like Shawn Michaels ,and many more ,also move sets , create a wrestler attires and weapons. You can also customize and edit any of the superstars your own way on the roster any way you desire wether it's the clothing, the hair, body type ,entrance music ,but you cannot edit the move sets .The games controls is very similar to "WCW World Tour " "WCW Revenge " and "Wrestlemania 2000" for the N64.It also has a very interesting intro cinematic scene at the begining as you hear the Rock yelling out his famous quote before the game introduces all of the superstars preforming their entrances ,taunts and moves filled with superstar animations . It's one of the best wrestling games ever for the nintendo 64 .WWF No Mercy is such an outstanding wwf video game classic that it still holds up today as one of the best wrestling games ever created by THQ.
