Sonic The Hedgehog Westside Island arsenal1991
Sonic the Hedgehog the game that i have always loved since i was young lets give a review of this hack version of the 1st Sonic game
1) Graphics- The graphics are just basically the same as the real Sonic The Hedgehog game very smooth and very good so i couldnt really deduct anything out of the graphics if anything i think i would give it more than a 10 if i could but i cant haha just
just a slight change to the zone names and even the zone layouts
2) Sound- Again just like the graphics there is no change really and if there is to be honest i have not noticed anything so not much can be said for that either im afraid
3) Addictiveness- All Sonic games are very addicting and this is no different matter because of the twists this game it makes the game more challenging and less predictable to play because you never know whats coming next so that is always gonna keep you intrigued with whats gonna happen next
4) Story- Wasnt much story to the Sonic game in this if you've played this and then gone on to play the likes of Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 it does have more story but this doesnt at all really apart from DR Robotnik (some know him as Eggman) turns animals into robots sonic has to save them and beat Eggman along with Collecting the Emeralds (Chaos Emeralds some know it as)
5) Depth- This game does have a few challenging parts to it certainly 1 or 2 bosses i found quite hard at 1st
6) Difficulty- Unfortunately this game because its a hack version of the 1st Sonic game i have had to deduct considerable amount of overall points because a few reasons but saying that there are also a few plus points like different level layouts and even a few twists too boss bits
here are the reasons why i have decided to deduct the overall game a few points
the 1st of those reasons is the Chaos Emeralds in other words the special stage ring right at the end of the act 1 or 2 is not there when you have 50 or more rings which therefore when it comes to collecting the emeralds to get the good ending of the game you cant because there is no special stage rings at the end of each act when having hold of 50 rings or more
the 2nd reason why iv had to deduct this game is whoever generally created this hack made the last 2 zones very sloppy and VERY EASY to complete even the real game was a bit harder in the last 2 zones
the 3rd reason the bosses the 1st 3 boss levels (act 3 of zones) were challenging HOWEVER the last of those bosses were not changed and made me think to myself why not change it a little bit? even in the labyrinth zone believe it or not you do NOT see Eggman in that zone there for technically in my view there is no boss level for that bit the real game did but it was a case of climbing out of the labyrinth before you drowned (the dreaded 5 second count down )
overall? a okish 4.5 this would be much better if it had a bit more class so to speak but its very addicable to play i suppose

Sonic Westside Island Adoye
Fantastic. 'Sonic - Westside Island' is an excellent Sonic 1 hack.
The first four zones (so, twelve acts) are designed really well. Bosses 2 and 4 are unbelievably difficult! I loved it. It was so satisfying to beat them and it was wonderful to play a Sonic game that was genuinely challenging.
Unfortunately the designer seems to have run out of steam towards the end, as the last two zones are simpler, and the final boss is unchanged, which is a shame given how ludicrously easy said boss is.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed 'Sonic - Westside Island'. A really refreshing challenge, classic Sonic, innovative and well-designed levels.
